Curiosity

I don't think "curiosity" or "being nosy" is in any way the purpose of life.
It's questioning, searching; an awareness and power of attention;
an adjective describing a wee side effect of human development
or an innocent growth of the intellect.
Yes, a "spark for learning" is a wonderful thing.
but , in it's worst context, can reflect a gossipy, low function of the mind.
 
I am curious about anything in the air or space. If we can get deeper into the Cosmos or what is called Deep Space, it's unimaginable what we may find. Scientists believe that Deep Space or the Universe may go as far as 90 billion light years across. I doubt if mankind will ever reach the end of Deep Space.

I once attempted to calculate how long it would take to reach the end of the Cosmos, but my scientific calculator didn't have enough zeros on it. Anyone care to venture a guess as to how long it would take to reach the end of "outer space?"

I think curiosity is inherent in Humans not "a wee side effect of Human development." Indeed the curiosity of Humans drives development of any kind. To be curious is foundational & fundamental and easily gives purpose to Human life. The context of curiosity is constructed by Humans and that's where "a low function of the mind" might come in...
Agreement is not required...
 
Curiosity is the foundation of discovery. Don't you think so? So it's a good thing. I'm not talking about about other people's private business but about the kind of curiosity that improves the world in some way. It all starts with curiosity and ideas.

Absolutely, I am infatuated and almost obsessed with (outer) space, rockets, missiles, planes, anything that goes up. Not bombs. They go down, well, mostly. I have been to a lot of space and science museums around the country and a few in other countries. I once met a Russian Cosmonaut, but couldn’t understand a word he said, so I smiled and nodded my head. I was glad there were some people there that were able to communicate with him. I met him inside the Museum of Cosmonautics in Moscow when I visited Russia in 1991. I think he just happened to be there when we were there.

I was a little nervous because I didn’t know the place existed until I rode past it and decided immediately to try to get inside. I only had to pay the fee and show my Passport and Visa. Check this out. They had an English interpreter that gave presentations at different areas inside. Just had to put on headphones. What kind of surprised me was that they gave the U.S. a lot of credit for our advances in our space program and the manned International Space Station, which we are partnered with Russia, the European Space and Japan Space Agencies.
