What Type of Perfume/ Cologne Do You Wear?

I've always liked the smell and if I had my way I'd splash a little Hoppe's #9 behind my ears and call it done but since I don't have my way mama likes the way Polo Blue smells on me.

Hoppe's smells sorta good, but it only cleans carbon. "Shooter's Choice" smells terrible, but cleans better. And it eats up Nitrile & Latex gloves, too. :)

I really l like Hermes' "Un Jardin Sur Le Nil" (light and fresh and crisp) but I ran out a year ago and won't be ordering more unless I find a deal. I like Yardley Lavander soap.

When I was younger it was Evening in Paris every day until it was discontinued then Chanel#5 Lotion but now only when I go out.
Evening in Paris isn't completely gone yet. The Vermont Country Store still sells it, and when I was checking to make certain I was right, I discovered they still sell British Sterling...... Don't think I will order any, however. :giggle:

Yes after I posted before did some checking and found this...

"The scent was discontinued in the late 1960s, and revived and reformulated by Chanel in the early 1990s."

My friends and I used it in our early days when I lived in UK and we went dancing.
The boys loved it!...so we wore it non stop:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Oh what fun !
Amazon advertise and I had a quick look but couldn't see it...anyway, now I am happy enough with my Chanel lotion.

Yes, but do they carry "Evening in Hoboken"? It goes great with a fifth of Mad Dog 40-40 and you don't need a passport.

Now we’re talking! I am a collector of perfume! I absolutely love fragrance and fine perfume is an art. I belong to an online group of collectors and we trade each other for decants of fragrances or we pitch in and buy a bottle and split it.
The group contains people all over the world and I have been able to get exquisite fragrance from all over the world that isn’t available here in the USA.
Name a fragrance, and I probably have it. I will post some of my stash. Today I am wearing Chanel Bois des Illes

Oh, @Marian , what a wonderful, wonderful collection to have! Most perfumes are too strong for me now and give me a swift headache, but for some reason I've always been able to wear Jontue by Revlon, so that's still my go-to. Years ago I found a place online that sold little vials of every perfume imaginable just to try it... I got a bunch of them and loved the experience.

Quick question... I've been wanting to try Angel by Thierry Mugler because I *think* it may be milder than the headache producers. Would that be accurate, or is it relatively strong, too?

I found Angel to be very strong, I‘m sorry to say. Why not try a sample? You may be able to get one from Mugler or you could try Ebay. There are sites that sell samples like “ Surrender to Chance” or Luckyscent. They are reputable. Fragrance Net also sells decants. I’d send you some if I had it but I don’t😩
