My aunt had painful varicose veins. Periodically, she had them stripped. I donāt know if that would be helpful to you. They were ok until one grew a big vericose vein. Now I hide them.
I still like them though. They work good and that's what counts!
Thanks Mark, hearing the experiences of others helps to see the light at the end of the tunnel, LOL. Guess I need to invest in some good knee pads.Brave man getting both done at once. I got my right knee replaced a couple years ago and liked it so much I asked the doctor if heād do the other one. He objected that I didnāt need that one done. Reluctantly I had to agree when he showed me the X-rays of both knees. Both work fine now but I always use good knee pads when Iām crawling around picking weeds.
My husband would differ with you TimocLegs are quite clever things, and not many people know this, but they can read our minds.
Think about it, you swing your legs out of bed each morning and right away, they know that you want to trot to the bathroom, and, they talk leggy stuff to each other too, like "Who's turn it is to go first", and, when another part of your body wants to pee, they instinctively know how to do that little dance to help you not to pee down onto them.
Yeh, clever thing are legs.![]()
I got a bunch of 'em on both legs. I always compression wrap with Ace Bandage. And I walk every day - at least 30 minutes. That's supposed to help. They were ok until one grew a big vericose vein. Now I hide them.
I still like them though. They work good and that's what counts!
Procedures for varicose veins are fine - only if the condition is painful enough to justify the risk - both the risk of the surgery and the risk of the procedure causing more pain & other problems. When the bad veins are stripped/lasered/burned away/etc. the blood is routed through other veins, causing them extra stress. That's why the procedure has to be repeated. Mine are occasionally painful; not enough to have surgery. My aunt had painful varicose veins. Periodically, she had them stripped. I donāt know if that would be helpful to you.
