Very good news!DGD had a follow-up appointment with her PCP. She's on the mend at last.
Your NLNL is a soap opera tale. Can't imagine what she'll do next. Good grief!

@Georgiagranny I so agree with StarSong. At least it keeps us amused. Maybe more fun for us than you.Very good news!

It's a mixed day here... On the positive side, the trees/flowering bushes are beautiful: the Bradford pear and dogwoods look like drifts of white lace and tulle respectively. The Azaleas are out in all their magenta/pink/salmon glory. The wisteria drapes languidly from trees and trellises. Some bush I don't know the name of have cascades of yellow clusters of flowers the shade of lemon chiffon. New England has Leaf Peepers in the fall.... the South puts on it's gala in spring and it's a show-stopper this year
It's warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the breeze and sunshine (which is what Ed and I did after a lunch of pulled chicken from the local BBQ place.) I did have to take 5 min and clean the pollen off the chairs first; I could have grown carrots in what had accumulated.
There are some other things that are kind of dragging me down, emotionally. Offspring that need a job (and one a life, sigh); others struggling with tech school.
Ah well....
You are so right, @RadishRose Thanks@CinnamonSugar , just rest in your faith and enjoy the beauty around you.![]()
Eight years of piano lessons. I can read music and know that if I sit where I'm supposed to, middle C is directly across from the belly button. I was so bad that of those eight years, I only played in two recitals.Working on the 18th Variation of Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody On A Theme Of Paganini, and my fingers hurt.
This woman is really over the top. Way, way over.also treated to the fact that she got a big increase in her SSDI...to $350/month.
Then she proceeded to tell Sir that she "made" $2K over the weekend with a catering job but didn't say whether that was gross or net. He didn't ask. She has a bigger one coming up in a couple of weeks and would he be interested in working for her?
he commented that if she can't work weekends because of her catering business, why would she think anyone else could work weekends at one job and work for her weekends, too?
GG years ago I had some "PMJ" rhododendrons that were purple. When young, they look just like azaleas and are very early to bloom. When I was at the garden center at HomeDepot, I saw purple azaleas.
Like this, @Georgiagranny ? This is the purplest I’ve seen…@CinnamonSugar One of my azaleas has started to bloom. Sooo pretty. When I was at the garden center at HomeDepot, I saw purple azaleas. Yup. Don't know if they've been around and I just haven't noticed or if they're something new.
Right now the garden is mostly just starting to green up, but there are daffodils, snapdragons, anenomes, a few hyacinths that the bunnies have missed, some senetti, and the azalea. The rest of the azaleas will be a while before blooming. It's enough to keep me happy for a few weeks until there are more flowers available.
Some of our trees are budding out. The flowering plum trees are mostly all blooming. Dogwoods are probably a couple of weeks away yet.
And then there's the pollen...need I say more?
This year, I'm gonna be concentrating on annuals. The perennials just require too much tending, and it wears me out looking after them.
I think we'd call them Magenta rather than purple...
The color reminds me of the Black Cherry Soda that was popular back in the early 70’s… but that’s *another* story hahaI think we'd call them Magenta rather than purple...![]()
Nite blue haired baker woman...Okay. So I put it in a bowl. It's not like there's anybody here who'd see me eating out of the carton, and not like anybody except me eats it.
And now I gotta say goodnight because I gotta get up and go make croissants so that the world is safe for democracy and stuff.
Those are beautiful. I've been moving azalea sprouts around the yard. They come up around the older ones.
Good for you.. where are you going ?.. perhaps we'll all come along too...Packing a suitcase and off to a warmer climate for a few weeks. Had enough of this winter crap! Gonna get a head start on summer!
