Early morning everything was covered in snow, then it rained and washed it away, then it snowed again, then rained again ....

Very cold yesterday but it's raining this morning and so mild that the heating is off.
 

I'm up and ready to be my spirit animal🦥 for a day except for doing some laundry and bluing my hair.

It's gonna be a cool and rainy day.

BTW, don't anybody uncross your fingers🤞 until I hear from the union charity that my application has been approved.
 

Another day of bright sunshine which seems to be warming the house in spite of the near freezing temps.
We had another couple of inches of snow overnight, but it's very dry and powdery. A snowplough has just gone past the house so the road looks a bit better now. This is just a minor road which becomes a single track once past the village and is usually overlooked when it comes to gritting and snow clearing. I'm planning to cook Stamppot for dinner if I can find the kale under the snow!
 
Oy! The forecast for the next few days is showing a hard freeze two nights in a row. I've done something to make mother nature very, very angry. For sure I won't be planting more flowers for a while, but I will dig out the frost blankets today.

There's a news story about a man from the metro area who went to New Orleans two weeks ago on a business trip and disappeared. His body was found a couple of days ago, wrapped in plastic and rolled up in a rug. New Orleans police say "There's no sign of foul play." What? He killed himself, wrapped himself in plastic and rolled himself up in a rug? Is it any wonder that John Q. Public doesn't have faith in the police?

Tailoring more shirts because I'm short and the shirts didn't come in petite. Therefore, I like them but don't wear them because the fit is not right.
Once hemmed I'll wear them a lot. They are gauze and great in summer over tees and tanks.

I need you to live near me, I always have to take shirts to the tailor to have the hems taken up if I don't want them to be hanging across my hips..

Crap, I buy them to go past my hips and rear end. Lord, do I wish I had your problem!! I prefer oversized to hide the back end and the belly protrusion. I am not so much overweight, I am a bit fluffy that I try to make more agreeable.

Our keystone cops are exactly like that... but god help you if you accidentally drive in a bus lane.. or park outside a school.. they'll hunt you down... :confused:

yes it was verrrry cold yesterday..I agree... today it's 48 deg.. the rain has washed the snow away, incredible because it was so thick yesterday... :D
 
I've had a toothache for a couple of days. I thought deep cleaning would fix it, but it hasn't, so I tentatively called the dentist.. I say tentatively because the reports for months has been from people saying they can't get to see a Dentist for 6 months even in an emergency.. and yesterday there was a story in the paper about a man who ended up flying to Turkey to have his dental treatment because no dentist within 30 miles could give him an appointment... so I was expecting something similar when I rang this morning.. Not a bit of it.. they've got me an appointment for Monday ! *yeah* (y)
 
Getting ready to head out this afternoon to Americus for weekend work... my usual place to stay is unavailable, so I've had to get creative. Hotel would have cost me dear for four nights, so I'm "camping" at the office. Shower is there (used to be a residence) and I can sleep on one of the couches in the conference room.

I just have to make sure tomorrow morning I'm up and dressed before everyone shows up for morning meeting =P

we've done that at the Studios in the past when it's been a late night recording.. and there's an early start. Used an empty dressing room, and showered at 6am.. before anyone got there..and it saved the price of a hotel room
 
Last night my hand was shaking, so my 4.5 year old grandson doled out my rice & beans for me. Last week he started telling me he loved me. ❤️

Today, I want to have a silly day, where I laugh at most things and just take it easy. Do a few chores, very few; read with my cat sitting on me.

Well this morning I pulled a "dumb" stunt....one of my eyes
has been bugging me a couple days, so since looking in the mirror didn't show anything, I decided to use my flip phone and
take a picture close up to see if it revealed anything....welp, it
did, that is after about 2hrs it revealed to my insane mind that I had taken the picture of THE WRONG EYE!!!!!! o_O🧐
