I have Metro too but got a Motorola phone. There have been a few times I have had to restart it to correct a problem but that's all in a year and a half. I'm not crazy about all the features but mostly am. I'm sorry you had a flutter. I have had some occasionally. I have heart disease. As predicted, I spent a good amount of time this weekend finding a phone, getting my new phone set up and learning it's features. At home th set up was easier than I thought since Google suggested several apps, some of which I use and did multiple downloads at once in mere seconds. My son, who has a similar phone, helped me with a couple of perplexing things about the various volume controls. But finding the phone and getting it set up at the store was different story. The first Metro store I went too didn't have anywhere near the models I wanted. Luckily I live in a very walkable area and another Metro store was only a couple of blocks away. Since I needed a phone three days before I went shopping for one, I settled on an older model that I intended (the Samsung Galaxy A14), but it's not as old as what the first store had in stock (03's and A10s). I sat there and looked through Amazon reviews before making up my mind because the A14 wasn't one of the ones I added to my notepad app the night before. Once satisfied with the reviews, I got it.
I had deleted some things, including my email, from the old phone because I'm a bit paranoid about what information is kept in their systems after transferring info from one phone to another. Well, that was a mistake! The young lady needed my email to complete the transfer of my photos (I should've known that ! ) and contacts. I tried getting back into my email but when Google sent the verification codes, the sign in screen did not show the field in which to type them (I tried 3 times). The girl tried another way on her system but it wasn't working. I wound up walking back home so I could get the login approval screen on my tablet. I decided I to eat something before going back. After I went back, the girl hit another glitch but that resolved itself in a couple of minutes. I even had to change my password while in the store requiring me to think of yet another password!I called a good friend and asked him to call me back before I left the store, just to make sure the phone rang. At first I didn't hear the call come in, even while I fiddled with what I thought was the volume controls. Turns out the volume is controlled differently than my last phone and I figured it out, so I heard it when he called back.
I had a couple of flutters yesterday, so took it easy. It may have been because I let myself get over tired. The good thing is that I didn't have to cook anything. My son bought eggplant parm (with ziti) dinners from one of the local restaurants on Friday. I ate more of that for lunch (I can eat off their dinners 4 times). For dinner I had the fresh cooked bean soup he made.
That Ziti that your son got sounds delicious
