How is that treated? Are there symptoms?
Morning Pepper.....I spent a lot of time yesterday researching this and reading the info dr sent...they don't know what causes it, there has been no pain, the only symptom I had was rectal bleeding that was probably aggravated by taking nsaid meds in my case Aleve...doctor advised eating more fiber!?! I already eat a lot of fiber...so I don't know about that...all research stated it can be serious when an infection happens which is very painful...this has not happened with me...just the bleeding....so...I'm going to continue and try to add more fiber and be very careful and caution on taking any nsaid meds....which is a bummer with all the old age pains and only able to take Tylenol.

@Jackie23 I'm so way overdue for a colonoscopy I must be out of my mind because I had stage 3 colon cancer 20 years ago. I had no symptoms until I dropped 30 pounds in under a month and started feeling very weak, so weak I leaned against a cardboard box and broke most of my ribs on right side. Then, my mouth developed the worst tongue burning thrush, the most painful experience. Tumor the size of a man's fist, and no symptoms till what was almost the end of me.

I had to put my 17 year old cat to sleep today.... at noon. He had a brain tumor.
He was a large, lovable, orange tabby. I miss him already.
I'm so sorry. You did the right thing for him. Orange kitties can be the sweetest. I'm not surprised you mention his dilute calico or tortie sister is more skittish.

That's the age my big tortie lived to. It's so hard.

Came inside for a short break.

One can never have too many flowers. Need. More. Flowers. Never mind that there are still a bunch needing to be planted!

I make up my mind to do whatever next, then see some weeds, pull weeds, see something else that needs to be done...

@hollydolly Sorry about your toothache. I don't have that problem anymore...

Back inside. Planted some woodland phlox in a big pot that DD can see from her back door and a big pot of geraniums close to the corner of the front yard.

It got too hot, and I got too tired to do anything more. Maybe I can finish up after work tomorrow.

@Jules, DD's house is a corner lot on a cul-de-sac, so it's about a half/quarter acre. I dunno. A lot! the side yard is wooded and left to grow wild, but the back is huge-r than huge! There are about six or seven separate garden sections, each with its own kinds of flowers/plants. Then there are the pots. Here and there where for whatever reason I haven't been able to convince flowers to grow, there's a pot. Some big, some small, depending on how much room there is.

I need more plants. Need. Should probably cut food outta the budget so I can buy more flowers;)

Oh..dear God Pepper....you've been through the mill...yes you are overdue for a colonoscopy for sure..they are a lot of trouble to get done, but you strike me as a very serious 'can do' and tough lady, please take care....many hugs.

I'm back... 3 hours post filling.. yep.. another filling, altho' she said if it doesn't settle down it'll need a root canal... oh no, I'd rather have it taken out. I've had nothing but bad luck with root canals in the past.

She said don't eat or drink anything hot or cold for 1/2 hour... it's almost 3 hours now, so I'm having a cuppa tea.. and a strawberry creme patisserie before the numbing wears off completely... .

It's absolutely torrential rain today... after the dentist I went to do the grocery shopping...fortunately the supermarket is just a short drive from the surgery... spent far more than I should have.. probably the Lidocaine had affected my brain.. but I didn't get any change from £120... craziness because both my freezers were already full. Anyway it's done now for a while again thank goodness... . Also the supermarket had a half price sale on.. so I got 5 T- shirt style tops as well for summer.. ( Sainsbo..for all my fellow Brits on here )...

Well as I've been typing I've eaten a little bit of the cake.. I'll put the rest in the fridge for another time... I'm such a good girl... btw since last Friday when I had the first filling, I've lost 2 pounds through being unable to eat much...

(((Peps)))>. fgs woman.. go and get one... . I kno it's no fun for 24 hours... but neither is cancer and you know which one you would prefer to have. Please make an appointment for it.. if Jackie and I can do it.. and speaking for myself I HATE it... so can you... and especially given you know how ill you got the first time around

I need to vent a bit. Just after the guy came to fix my freezer, the lady who comes to help me clean came over. As she came in I was setting up my crockpot to make chicken soup. She watched me doing it. When she was wiping down my counters she UNPLUGGED the crockpot!!!
She used to have a habit of unplugging my toaster and can opener until I told her not to. She has weird things she often does that I have had to tell her no to. I had gone into the kitchen to get a drink and saw it off......asked her why as she knew I was cooking. She just got all blonde and said..OH, I did not notice the plug was the crock pot...thought it was your toaster. I reminded her again to not unplug things..ever, SIGH. If it were not for the fact she does a good job on her routine tasks she would be out the door. I have no idea how long it was off. So I had to start it again.

Totally agree here, @Pepper, just get it overwith. I've had two and really they're not bad, it's the hype.
You'll feel better having done it. ♥

@Pepper, I keep thinking about you never having a washer or dryer in your home. Have you ever looked into getting a small, portable washer that just attaches to the kitchen sink. Many years ago I had one and a drying rack. Then I wheeled the big items to the laundry room to dry.

Please get the colonoscopy.

I’m sorry for what you went through those years ago.
But…..
I’m happy you won the battle and are here with us today.🌷🌷🌷.

Several years ago, the battery in my Seiko watch died. I found that stores that sell watches no longer replace batteries (legal issues with potential damage they said) and jewelers charge a lot. I bought a small watch repair kit from Amazon and did the job myself. Today, the watch once again was signaling a weak battery so I picked one up and got out the repair kit again.

It's a fiddly little job but sort of rewarding and kept me busy for half an hour. Watch is ticking away happily again. I actually don't wear a watch much anymore but I like having one ready in case it is needed.

my husbands' hobby was watchmaking.. so he always would change batteries for me, or remove links in watch bracelets to make them fit better etc... now he's gone I go to the guy on the watch stall in the market ..only costs £5 for a battery and fitting..
