What are you doing today 2023

I went to see Dungeons and Dragons at the theater. I know, it sounds pretty juvenile but it was entertaining and funny at times. I like Hugh Grant and Chris Pine and they didn't disappoint.

I was the only one in a huge ScreenX theater that shows the film on the front screen and two side screens. It was like my own private screening.
 

I loaded and ran the dishwasher early this morning because we were supposed to have a water shut off for repairs but that never happened. Since I'm feeling a bit better, I also tackled putting away Deja's groceries that I had ordered from Chewy and a couple of other items my son bought from Costco. This involved rearranging items, rotating stock and finding vacant spots. I even danced around a little bit as I was working while just letting my iTunes (aka Apple Music) play whatever came up. I wound up hearing things I hadn't listened to in a long time so that was nice. I went through the mail and papers on the dining table, had my daily conversation with my BFF, watched T.V., napped and played a couple of games.
 
Appointments. Lunch out. Shopping at a drug store to get discounts and earn points for $30 grocery store credit. Walked to store to buy the shampoo that I forgot at the drug store. Decent game of bridge tonight, though still annoyed at myself for messing up a hand I could have made.
 
It rained all day yesterday, but the forecast is good for today so it's out into the garden. Raspberry bushes to be panted and loads of plants to be 'potted on'. My trusty lawnmower has fallen apart, although the engine is still good (Briggs & Stratton) after 15 years. I've been putting off buying a new mower, but I think I'll have to splash out and get one.

I just got a new one last week, son says it is a dream!!
 
Today it's gonna start getting cold...high temp around 70 and rainy. Tomorrow? 48 for a high temp!

It's morning. I gotta get a wiggle on. Retired Lady won't be there ever again 😭, the new clerk we thought we had has gone back to her old job, Sir is off today. Alone. I'll be all alone.

Maybe it will be a quiet day, being Good Friday and all...🥐
 
Today making mayonnaise first thing so I don't put it off again. Need it. Doing some filing, maybe laundry, putting some things in the storage locker and not sure what else. It is a bit cool in here this morning so just put some heat on. I worry about my bunny on the floor where it is colder. I see he stretched out since the heat started. Maybe he was cold.
 
It's an absolutely glorious day for Good Friday... I've just got back from the walk by the river in the park... it's so quiet, everyone seems to be away... except these little guys...Mandarin Ducks

They're so beautiful I never tire of seeing them . I thought they were gone, haven't seen them for several years but it looks like they're back and causing mayhem among the indigenous mallards.. :D they're moody little devils, and like to fight..

Good morning one and all!!

Yesterday, I was supposed to take my Mom out for lunch/dinner, for her b-day....but she had to cancel due to a broken tooth. 😞 She went to the Dentist instead, and she got it taken care of. She's going to reschedule our lunch date.

In the meantime, I got a notification from the library, that they purchased the next season of Lucifer (per my request, and it was ready for me to pick up.

I love that show, and I've been waiting sooooo long to see the next season!!!! There is one more season after this one. You can be sure that I'll be putting in a request for that one to be purchased, too! (

After going to the library, we stopped at the farm store and they were just unloading their stock of annual flowers! So I bought something called "gazania" for one of my posts. Other than that, we really didn't have any other plans, so Dio suggested we go out to eat for my b-day. Well, he didn't have to twist my arm!!

First, we pulled into Skipper's", but the parking lot was packed full, and we didn't want to wait on hour (or more) to get our food, so we left. We ended up going to the Mexican place, closer to our house. I've always enjoyed their food, and yesterday's meal was no exception...it was delicious!!

It sounds like a wonderful adventure! I have a friend (Scotland) who goes to Budapest every year. I always enjoy the pix she sends me.

We drive each other nuts, but I wouldn't have it any other way! Next week she will be 91 years old....and I have a hard time keeping up with her! LOL
