We're getting the same thunder/lightning/rain that Mike is getting in Brockville. I love thunderstorms! We
will be going out in a short while. Must go to the Italian bakery to see if they have pizza, and will maybe get
a couple of pastries 😋
Are you not getting the freezing rain also... drive carefully...

Moving into our apparel business busy season from now through September. While not steadily busy throughout, big orders come in during this period.

Right now I'm waiting for a truck to drop off a pallet or two. Today's delivery: 44 cartons with a total of 1645 pcs, 825 lbs. DH & I will bring them in the house with hand trucks. Over the next few days we'll open the boxes, verify the counts, separate them for embroidery applications, screen printing and/or heat transfers and start them on that process.

In ten days I'll order 1500 more garments, then another 1000 about ten days after that.

Sure glad it isn't windy, cold or raining!
Why a sad emoticon, @CinnamonSugar? Big orders are coming in for our small business, and that's a good thing! :)

@Trila ..who is Dio ?..

I'm back... I drove to London, and picked up my friend, and dropped him off home... . he's had to leave his car at the garage to have several things done to it and he's asked me if I'll take him back to collect it tomorrow... I said yes... jeez, how good am I ?
Dio is who @Georgiagranny calls "goat guy".... my DH

My knees are starting to hurt. I know that exercise will help. So I'd better start exercising again. Even though I really don't feel like it.

I think today I'll finally have time to figure out the telescope setup. It's a full moon now, and the nights are getting shorter/lighter, so it's bad timing. But I should try.

Laundry day I guess....

It's not freezing cold today. Maybe I'll be able to loll on the balcony in my gravity chair.

It's pretty today so maybe I'll make it out to the car stops.
What's a car stop? I googled, and found several possibilities, all unlikely.

It's raining now.. 9pm and dark.. and altho' it's apparently 48 deg outside, it feels cold in the house. Can't put the heating on tho'... can't afford to... it has to be very cold indeed before I turn it on, and then only for an hour ...

@hollydolly 48? On Saturday our high temp is going to be 50. Yup. It's gonna warm up Easter Sunday, though, all the way up to a tropical 60.

This after a high temp today of 88.

We must have ticked off Mother Nature again. I don't know what made her all pissy. Temps next week back into the 80s. What?

Are these suitable to use in cooking, HD? What a gorgeous, healthy plant!
Oh absolutely yes , they are used in my cooking all the time. I could dry them, but what would be the point I ask myself when the Bush is just outside the back door basically. The bush is now around 5.5 feet tall and roughly the same around... . I planted it from a tiny seedling about 15 years ago.. at the same time as the Rosemary, which grew to be Gigantic, so I had that dug up, because I just wouldn't using enough of it, much as I love rosemary, to warrant it taking up so much space..

I'm still sleeping more than usual due to the meds I'm taking for this cold, but not as many hours as the last couple of days. I downloaded the H & R Block tax program after trepidation due to some negative reviews. Reading further, I determined that some of the issues would (hopefully) not pertain to me. I'm almost finished with my federal return, just have to double check something at one brokerage, add my driver's license number and let the program run the accuracy review. I watched a little T.V. and neglected the housework that needs to be done. :sneaky:

...anyway finally after I'd walked as far as my knee would let me I left... and spoke to the ticket office about paying for the gardens and them not being open, so they apologised and refunded my £12... saying that the gardens are not actually opening until tomorrow..

There's a lovely little cafe on site.. so I popped in there for a cuppa tea .. I'd not taken water with me on the walk .. big mistake.. and there's nothing at all inside the grounds to buy

...and in the courtyard of the Historic house are several independent shops..

this is a vintage cannon and real cannonballs..

....so after my little sit down and tea.. I took a stroll around the little store, which house country clothing.. (like the wax jacket I bought the other day).. and also the gun shop...

That is a lovely little cafe shop HD. I love those blue chairs. It looks like a very interesting place to shop (or window shop). Glad you had a lovely day. You certainly got your exercise in.

Feel better soon, @OneEyedDiva !

Today the food bank truck is delivering boxes of food to our building. I keep what I use out of the box (which isn't much usually, a package of cheese or two), give my son what he wants, then see if there is anything Sonny wants. Put the rest back on the table in the community room for anyone one else to help themselves. Usually too much processed food and no meat.

Other than my morning walk, I hope to work on a story I am writing most of the day.

It's just past 2pm... the rain has stopped now, but it rained all the way to London and most of the way back. I stopped off at M&S and got some pineapple tarts...

You wouldn't believe there's a recession on.. M&S foodhall was jam packed... and to give those of who don't know.. M&S food is at least a 3rd more expensive
than most other supermarkets...

The Colorado Low has made an exit…..I hope…..left about a foot of the white CRAP !!!!!!! That makes almost 2 feet of sNOw since the weekend.
Will clear the rest of the deck again…..the dog paths…..shovelled the sNOw away from the garage doors just now, so I can get the driveway cleared.
If the driveway gets cleared in time, I’ll go downtown to get some copies made.
The usual morning chores…..and always lots to do in the house.
