Tentatively looking at airline ticket prices for visit to Seattle in June. It’s not so much the money, it’s the amount of time: 10-13 hrs for complete one way trip (which doesn’t include seeing 2 h early and hanging around the airport prior to boarding flight). There’s one that’s only 7 hr, but the layover at the one stop is only 45 min…. Too short a time to get to next gate if first flight running late.

can’t I just fax myself? Lol

it’s really tempting to just make a road trip out of it but that is a Loonngg drive

Well, we were going to go out for a drive and visit one of the two tourist towns around us, about an hour's drive from here, but the thunder, and rain, and looked out, and the truck is covered in ice from the freezing rain... So we are staying put... In a bit, we'll go down to our theatre room, turn on the fireplace, and watch some movies, and have popcorn...

I’m going to continue with my melt down I started last nite.
Will spend the day keeping the deck shovelled and the paths for the guys to do their jobs.
Since last nite we have gotten about 9 inches so far…..along with the 11 inches we got on the weekend.
Supposed to continue for the rest of the day.

Did the paper work for listing the house for sale yesterday.

Lots of things to do inside with my melt down keeping me company.

Mother Nature…….whatever I did to tick you off……I’m so SORRY.😉🙃❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️.

Forgot to mention that I got the new front door lock fitted, and as a bonus I got a new back door lock as well.. took the locksmith 20 minutes only to do both locks.

My back door lock has been very temperamental.. but I've never got around to getting it changed. Today when the locksmith came I asked him if he'd take a look at the back door.. and he said that it was only a matter of time as to when I'd be locked out. It's a 3 lock security bolt door.. so he had to take what amounted to 6 feet of locks off the door.. and replace it with another of the same type.. which fortunately he had in his van..

So, today I had both front door and back door locks changed in the space of just 20 minutes.. I've never seen anyone work so fast

I needed new keys for the front door, but my existing keys are ok for the back door.

@Jules I didn't ask him about the keypad lock you mentioned.. I really want to learn more about them first. I may think about getting one at a later date..

I'm home from making 🥐 🥐 🥐 🥐 and bread and cookies and stuff.

It's 80 at last check about an hour ago. I should change my duds and finish planting flowers. Should. That doesn't mean I will.

DS called and said car seems to have gotten a second sort of life. They think that there might be rust that created small holes in the filler pipe for the fuel tank so that when the weather is very wet for a long time, it creates condensation in the tank leading to water in the fuel. Could be.

Anyway, they're going to try to come again tomorrow after lunch. I'm going to the bakery around noon to say goodbye 😭😭😭😭😭😭 to Retired Lady and should be home by 1.

Somebody light a fire🔥under my lazy behind so that the poor flowers will get planted.

@hollydolly DD/DSIL have electronic locks on their doors. Best thing since sliced bread!

Moving into our apparel business busy season from now through September. While not steadily busy throughout, big orders come in during this period.

Right now I'm waiting for a truck to drop off a pallet or two. Today's delivery: 44 cartons with a total of 1645 pcs, 825 lbs. DH & I will bring them in the house with hand trucks. Over the next few days we'll open the boxes, verify the counts, separate them for embroidery applications, screen printing and/or heat transfers and start them on that process.

In ten days I'll order 1500 more garments, then another 1000 about ten days after that.

Sure glad it isn't windy, cold or raining!

@hollydolly, I've never seen a door with three locks like that. That would sure prevent someone from kicking the door down.
oh yes it definitely is a security door, which I actually chose to have installed about 4 years ago instead of the single mortice lock I had before on it.. but why it would go wrong in such a short time I have no idea. Locksmith said '' it's just one of those things''.. he said it might be a tiny shard of metal got into the mechanism and that would be enough to prevent it working..anyway.. let's hope this one lasts longer.. but I will look more into those electronic locks... that's if I don't move house first..
