What are you doing today 2023

I did a couple of things, then decided to take a real day off. I'm retired, why do I always have to do things? I know, I'd be bored if I didn't.

Anyway, I read in bed, fell asleep, planning to read some more.

It's still cold, but I'm making a point of going out on the balcony for a minute here and a minute there. I'm hoping it will add up over time, and lift my mood.

Not sure what my day will be like today or what I am doing. After my morning walk I plan on vacuum packing the chicken and pork chops I bought yesterday. Probably making a couple batches of meal replacement shakes to put in the freezer for ice cream. Just normal household chores.

I'm up too early today, oh well...no def plans, except call
for some grocery to be delivered...and call for a couple
channels to add onto my cable tv, and call for my in-home
haircut...so guess that's enuff for today...we have very
severe weather threating tonite btw...55deg F now, up into
mid 80's later on.....enjoy your day.....

Walked so much yesterday, and walked fast (for me). We picked up son's son, walked to park, walked all around the park 10,000. times, walked back to son's home. The last block I had to tell them to go on without me, I know my way back. Grueling, and the lesson is I don't get out enough, don't walk enough and that must stop now that the weather's nicer or I'm looking for big trouble.

Nothing hurts, it's beyond pain.

It's Noon...glorious sunny day.. I've been for a walk around the woods and lake..

Meet my new friend...sitting sunbathing by the river..

.... back now and just having a cuppa tea and a scone before I go out and tackle the front lawn. I think I'll mow the front lawn instead of scarifying the back today.

I'll leave that until another day. I've got grass seed arriving later today..

When I woke up this morning around 5am, I had no pain in my right knee,so the cortisone shot that I got yesterday is helping. I got up around 6:10,walked downstairs out the door for my usual early morning walk,The temp was 45 ,lightly raining,walked back upstairs. My apt in on 3rd floor
This morning at 10, my friend Mary&I are going on our weekly 'road trip' today to local grocery store, Tops I need a few things. I will always think of my late neighbor/friend Thora every time I'm in there. She died last week,we used to go most Fri mornings. The last time we went was the end of Jan
The rest of my day if its not raining take afternoon walk,read NYT,my book Tonight on TV watch one of my favorite shows FBI: International on CBS.This week its on at special time 8pm The episode is crossover with the other FBI shows which I've never watched

Took the garbage bin to the curb last nite…..picked up 7 this morning.
Repeat of yesterday……shovelling sNOw……have a big dump to clear off the deck, which I didn’t get finished yesterday…..continued to sNOw well into last evening.
Forecast for more snow for today, till tomorrow evening….light flurries now.

Realtor coming late morning today to do the listing of the house.

Well, I've done some laundry and had a tele-meeting, so far. So, there's that.

It's pretty today so maybe I'll make it out to the car stops. Ooo, and/or some chess with my son would be great. We haven't played in a while and I'm starting to develop pent-up chess desire. :/

Welp, just ordered some groceries to be delivered in about
an hour....then just now took a walk out around the house,

I had gas in my chest last night, because I'd eaten foods that I know I shouldn't eat. I was uncomfortable for a couple of hours, patting my chest and jumping up and down, trying to make myself burp. Oh well, if that experience turns me off eating bad foods, I guess it was worth it.

Today is a beautiful day, though still cold. I'll visit the balcony often.

Catch up on dishes, finish book club book.

Book club meeting this evening. Grocery store on the way home, then bed.

Get ready folks for a long post.. or maybe 2..lol.. I've had an eclectic day.. actually a Super eclectic day... It's been an absolutely beautiful day weatherwise , and a great start to the Easter holidays ..

Firstly I mowed the front lawn.. and sprayed weedkiller (first cut of the year)... then I took myself off to the car repair place which is a drop in, to get a new Headlight bulb...turns out they don't do them, but one of the guys said he had a bulb, and would fit it for me for ''a drink''.. so that's what he did ..and that saved me a load of hassle driving to another town.

It had just reopened after winter closure and I wanted to visit the gardens.. . I paid £12 to go in, and as soon as I got in I could see the signs saying the garden's were closed, but they didn't tell me at the ticket office.. . Anyway I just took a walk in the huge expansive grounds and woodland.. boy.. did I walk.. probably 4 or 5 miles.. up and down dale...
