Other than walk the dog & fix lunch,, I haven't done any cleaning.

I've been outside removing dead leaves from plants,, cleaning out bird houses.
Going into garage to see if I have another bird house that needs put up.

There are 3 bird houses that need repairs & 3 that are too high for me to get to.

Hubby is out puttering with the lawn mowers.
One needs hauled to the dealer .

Am going to show them to hubby who is having knee problems.
It is an absolute cure for osteoarthritis, but comes with its own problems. Not an easy thing to recover from.

There are a whole lot of good videos on youtube that show a variety of people and outcomes. I suggest your husband look at those. And I think talking with others who have had the surgery is very helpful. I found that, like me, those who have had it are happy to talk about it.

The best advice I can give is to do the physical therapy and all they want you to do. Even if you have to take pain killers to do it. The first 4 to 6 weeks are crucial, if you don't do the PT the knees will never heal correctly. I spoke to enough people and watched and read enough to know this beforehand, and I think I did pretty well. However, I know and met in PT some people who didn't... big difference! They give you a lot of pain killers, there is a strong urge to just take the pain killers and sleep it off. Don't do that!

Best of luck to you and your husband!

Hey! What's with not liking hot cross buns? Y'all must not have had a grandmother who made them with saffron and who made them moist and delicious. My grandmother made The. Best. Hot. Cross. Buns. With saffron. I used to sort of just...um...drop by on Holy Saturday. Besides, on Holy Saturday we took dyed eggs to church to have them blessed. Needed sustenance from the hot cross buns to walk up to the church, wait for the blessing, walk back to grandparents' house:)
Yes, hot cross buns used to be substantial and delicious. Now they seem to be made with cheap, awful-textured bread dough, not nice at all.

Walked dog and ate a leftover roast sandwich.
Portioned off 3 servings of roast, mushrooms and carrots for the freezer.
Roasted 2 pork tenderloins and will soon fry cabbage to portion and freeze.
Might even make my creamy zucchini soup later for supper with a salad.
Washed dishes and counter tops.
Took out trash.

Well it's now past 8pm... it's been a very sunny afternoon.. temps 57 degrees, felt very hot in the sun tbh . Got the rear garden lawn scarified in places, and then mowed the whole lawn. Got the hedge trimmer out and trimmed the Front of the hedges.. and also the Bay Tree... the aroma from the Bay is glorious.. 🥰...I've ordered some more seed and fertiliser for the lawn....No use rushing at it all in one day.. I've got all summer to do it... but already it's looking so much tidier after winter..

Then this evening I made Chestnut, Shitake and Portobello mushroom and red onion beef gravy, and added Sausages, and Brussel sprouts, and had it for dinner with Buttered mashed potato..

We're having a burst of warm weather today....should reach 80 degrees...so I did my annual "test" of the central AC....better to find out if it's working good, now, rather than wait until the Summer heat arrives, and all the repair people are booked up.

Then, we've had an "invasion" of Asian Ladybugs in recent days....mostly in the basement. So, I spent about an hour sweeping and vacuuming literally hundreds of them up. They don't seem to hurt anything, but What a Nuisance.

Ran a couple of loads through the wash including three heavy cotton bathroom rugs. It's chilly today - high 50s - but very windy with low humidity so I'm taking advantage of Mother Nature's drying ability. Threw a couple of beach towels over the wrought iron pool fence and laid the bathroom rugs on them.

It takes about 90 minutes to dry them in the dryer on the hottest setting. Better yet, the sun and wind will have them dry by this evening, free of charge.

I could use one of those servings..yummm
...don't have a clue wot to have for dinner...nothing in freezer appealing to me.:(:(

Waiting for the service tech for our tv/internet provider…. He just called. They didn’t tell him what the issue was.
Fortunately he had what was needed. All went well.

nothing in freezer appealing to me
Who puts that stuff in there. They should only put good things in for your dinner. Bet it’s the same person that does the refills in my freezer. She debates freezing something, does it anyway, throws it in garbage later. Thats what she just did that this morning. I really have to learn to just toss it.

Oh the stuff in freezer is all my own choice. I shop and cook for myself, though when I say cook..well, not things like yummy roasts but I will settle for frozen pizza....gotta eat sumthin !
