I've always wondered about this. I have a buddy, Ron, who was passionate about Natalie. He went out and got a huge "Natalie" in a big red heart tattooed on his chest. He showed me the "art work". I thought he was an idiot for putting her name on him, when they weren't even married. Yup, you guessed it, they got divorced. Now, he's married to Barbara. He lives in southern Florida- no shirt country! I get poolside pics of he and Barb, plus Natale. How do you run around with your ex's name all over your chest?

My ex husband had the same problem. He had my name in a big scroll all the way down his left arm.. My darling wife 'Holly'... .. so when he got married again, he had to have it flowered over at his new wife's insistance . It looked terrible...and today 47 years after he had it done, it looks even worse.. and he's long divorced from the second wife.. he would have been better off just leaving it..

If I got a name tattoo when I was a teen, I would have to live a blank space for the name. Fell in love every other day in school..
One gal I went with wanted to have my picture tattooed on her left boob. I could only laugh because I could picture what a long face I’d have in 50 years.

The best thing to do is just marry women with the same first name. You could just add Roman numerals behind the name as you go along. Sue I, Sue II, Sue III. If you have to go with a IV.......well, there's your sign that you're getting married too much.

I only have one tattoo, and it says 'Mama Kin' , after the Aerosmith song.

The "C" tattooed on my right forearm is an occasional topic of conversation. I explain that when I was 15 I set out to tattoo my girlfriends name, but then had an epiphany, a moment of wisdom and clarity, when I realized that this was a BAD idea.

If my husband had one with another Woman's name on it, if he loved me then he would make a tattoo artist cover it. If he wouldn't then I would have one made with the boy's name on it that I was dating right before I met my hubby.

My hubby never had a tattoo and if he had another woman's on it out of respect for me and if he wanted to stay married he would have to have it removed and since my name is Barbara like that guy's wife he should be very very afraid!
