On my early morning walk around 6:30 went to local store to buy NYT
I had no plans for today, yesterday afternoon, my close friend, Marcia called asking if I could come over this morning at 10:15 to dog sit my buddy boy' Tage' for couple of hrs. Marcia is a volunteer docent at Darwin Martin House here in the city, she's giving a tour. I'm going to be tramatized as always being with that sweet dog LOL! A perfect way to end the week

Good Morning all.....I've had my coffee and toast and caught up on the last two days of post.
I have to get out today...shop and bank....the chain keeps coming off the new garden pruner...I'll have to take it to my grandson, he's my fixer on tools and lawnmower.
Congrats to @Gary O' and Mrs Gary O'

Morning breakfast clubbers!!! I am rejoicing due to better
sleep, after the meds doc gave me for this rash I have....only
improvement I see so far is less itchyness and pain, and of
course that let me sleep in later....got a few more days of
the antibiotic and cream, so we will see how it goes....glad
to be able to share here...thanks very much for putting up
with this old guy!!!!
Happy your feeling better. 🌻.

I'm home and weary. It was a morning, and we get to do it all over again tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow!

Sir's aunt, his mother's sister, died yesterday.

It's all the parents' fault...10-12-15 kids, all stair steps...of course they all get old at the same time and die. If you ask me, they should get together and decide whose turn it is and not more than one a year!

It's cold and gloomy with a few sprinkles here and there so there will be no gardening today. That's my excuse for sitting around on my dead center this afternoon.

Today it's rained off and one..thunder & lightening off and on... The Royal Police Helicopters practising over my house very loudly for tomorrows events..

Stayed home all day , did no chores.. nothing much needs doing tbh.. instead I did some techi stuff. and pretty much spent the afternoon on my computer..

Took delivery of 2 new power banks.. got them charging at the moment..altho' one was fully charged, so I've got that plugged into my Iphone to test it.. .I need them for in the car , because my Cigarette lighter charger has broken so I can't just stick the phone on charge as usual..

Might have to drive to the hospital 20 miles away this evening. Got a message from DD's dad (ex husband)to say he's in hospital again.. he has really bad COPD.. so he struggles to breathe , and lives alone.. ..and altho' he has a GF she's pretty much abandoned him to his own fate when he got ill, so I said if he needs anything I'll take it to him...

That’s very considerate of you to do it tonight. I guess everything will be topsy-turvy on Saturday. Everyone will be on high alert.

well , he might not want me to take anything..he tends to have a bag already packed because he gets taken into hospital regularly, but the offer is there if he needs it.. whether tonight or over the weekend

@hollydolly that’s very kind of you to help your ex father-in-law.

I used to drop everything and run and help my mother-in-law when she was alive.
It’s sad when someone is abandoned by their own girlfriend or family members in time of need.

I admire you for all the good that you do, even on this forum you’re always helping someone out.
💕

Ex husband :)..my daughters' father

summat similar in a tent??
Davey was that question meant for me? Could you please use @ in front of the name of whoever you're addressing? That will tag the person (their name shows up in blue) so they know you have a comment or question. OR you can hit the reply under what that person commented and automatically he/she will be notified that you responded. Without these methods the person(s) you are addressing may not even know you "said" something to them.

never mind stinkin' croissants.. :sneaky::LOL: this is what I'm having right now..

That looks very good! What is it?

Last week the old gold crown on my right lower jaw first molar came loose. Dentist found tooth underneath broke in two, un-fixable. So this morning had it extracted that dentist found difficult. $420 gone and 800mg of Ibuprofen later as novacaine slowly wears off, am expecting an unpleasant next couple days with gauze pad pressed atop tooth in mouth.

Back home, went online and noted Aerosmith PEACE OUT tour tickets for local Chase (GS Warriors arena) on December 1, 2023 were to begin in 3 minutes. So logged in, went into queue, then bought cheapest ticket (above behind stage) for $70 plus another $21 in fees.

Now for the rest of the day finding a way to keep my mind occupied away from my jaw.

Yeah, $70 for concert tickets these days is a steal, even with the fees. Sorry you experienced what you did with your tooth. Dental issues are no joke. I've been through it all...oral surgery, periodontal work, root canals and crowns. I hope the ibuprofen helps with the discomfort and you find something to keep you occupied.

Right now I am shipping out my 1886 Grandmother wall clock to my daughter along with a couple of military metals and my Navy ring. I think that it is often best to get these things resetting fairy early so that people don’t fight over them. This is all part of the downsizing process, and it is not easy for me. As they say, you have to let go of your current life before you can move to the one that awaits you. Moving from a medium sized house with a big yard, big shed and big garage into a 950 sq ft apartment is a major change.

Am I the only one feels that their home has to tidy before they leave on vacation?
Years ago, I did used to try to do that.
I couldn't always manage to get it done, at the same time as all the preps, for the trip itself, and then, running out of time. I was busy with so many things, at those times.
But, it sure is much more pleasant, upon returning home, to find it clean, rather than not!

One thing I would prioritize, before leaving, though,
was to get rid of perishable foods, that would be horrid, if left to be found on return!:sick::eek:

We are all very glad for your updating us, as well!
