Woke up yesterday with a sore right foot. I managed OK and thought that a good rest would fix it, but it's still sore this morning. I now it's trivial in comparison to other people's problems, but it can still mess up your day. No driving, no gardening etc till I get it sorted. No sense going to the Doc's (assuming I could get an appointment) as I'd probably be told to rest it and take pain killers.

4th. of May and it feels like winter here. It's overcast, cold and windy. This must be the Global warming that they talk about.

funny how we suddenly get these pains for no reason..hopefully it'll go soon of it's own accord...

Local Election voting day here today. We have 9 candidates and 3 votes - and having only lived her 11 months I know very little about the local politics of the area. However, I always vote and think it should be compulsory like it is in OZ (with a 'None of The Above' Option.) I'll probably spread my votes among the parties (but not Tory - NEVER Tory) so that's Labour, Green and Independent.

Well Oy, with voting preferences like that, you're off my Christmas card list :p. I would NEVER vote for the parties that you would (well, it depends on who the independent was) . I'd definitely vote for the Monster raving loony party.

When I was working one manager we had was the former drummer for Screaming Lord Sutch. He said that they carried him on stage in a coffin which would burst open and he would leap out.

Morning Breakfast Clubbers!!! Nice nites sleep finally!! The
prednisone the doc gave me did the trick I think, now if
the pharm will get in the cream she prescribed I'll feel
better I'm sure...yesterday was stressful, the pain, itching,
haveing to go out to doc...my friend who drove me liked
to almost haveing accident by not watching street signs!!!
But we made it, her to her doc at same building I was at
for derm doctor....Got some laundry today, and the P.T.
guy will be by too.....see ya later.....;)
 
Good Morning! Normal household chores this morning. Then at 11 our food bank truck is supposed to arrive to drop off our boxes of food. After that I need to vacuum pack all the meat and chicken I bought yesterday. I hope I bought enough to get through the whole month and then some. I woke up to my hand hurting bad........think it is because I am leaning too hard on the handles of my walker. Need to use a light touch except that my knee is making me baby it. Supposed to be another rainy day today.

Son is in Texas ,, will have no time to make food for camping.

Nah, I do the same thing. It's just so nice to come home to a clean house.

Happy Star Wars Day!

I was up on time today, and got in my 20 minutes of shoulder torture (PT) in right away. It feels so good!
I enjoy starting my day like that. the day Next....it's coffee time!

Tomorrow starts our summer weather. Our highs are expected to be 85°-90°F/29.4°-32.2°C as far as the forecast can project.

Tomorrow also starts our school parties at the rink. I'll be up by 4:30 a.m. I'll have a normal weekend, so I expect to be busy. Next week, I'll be home on Monday, Dio has an appointment in town on Tuesday, then Wed and Thu are early parties at the rink again. I do get to rest on Friday.....then back to the rink Sat and Sun. So, that's just the next 10 days...there are still more early school parties after that. I'll pop in for a drive-by post if I can, but....

The birds have been singing while I wrote this post and had my coffee. I'm ready for breakfast and to start my day, so that's it for me. I don't know when I'll be back.....I hope you don't forget me!!!! Bye! 💗
 
Today. Basking in the Glow of Yesterday. My almost 5 grandson & I are developing a deep, reciprocal friendship. He told me a secret. I awe him by my ability to translate the Japanese in his Godzilla movies.

Needed the break from Buffy watch. Son & psychiatrist insisted I go enjoy myself yesterday and did. Even AccessARide cooperated and I brought home steak enchiladas from DIL's favorite Mexican restaurant!

A perfect day, the kind you thank the gods for!
 
On the way to my 60 mile round trip North..I stopped off at the Polling Station to vote.. They're open from 7am until 10pm for those who don't know.. so when I got there , there was only one other person....

It was a beautiful sunny day when I set off.. by the time I'd got finished in the last store, the clouds had descended and it feels really muggy and head-achy...

So before I even got all the shopping put away, I ran upstairs and got changed into something cooler.. I hate this type of weather, it makes you feel so exhausted..

I voted, but I have to say I did it with a heavy heart because I was voting for people of whom I've never even met.. yet according to the Ballot papers they all live locally, and one even lives in my road...
