The Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla

I congratulate and celebrate with the UK on the coronation of King Charles III. May he have a long, successful reign and accomplish many of his environmental objectives.

As for Harry, he's probably happy to be en route to his family in CA. He's entitled to choose his life. just like everyone else. As most of us can attest, family relationships are often difficult, complicated affairs. Can't imagine adding the added stress of royalty, being the "spare," a mother's untimely, horrific death, and relentless paparazzi to the mix.

I'm glad he went to his father's coronation.

I'm pleased he went too..but I can't help feeling it was for Historical purposes ( possibly financial) as well.. it's very sad and this isn't the thread for me to criticise more.. .. it is what it is...

Just had a quick scroll back at the ladies outfits.. and there are so many beautiful ones I can't really pick just one..but I love the classy simplicity of Brigitte Macrons' pink outfit.. ... but there are several more I love..not that I would wear them but they look stunning on the lady who is...

@hollydolly,
Thank you so much for this thread, hollydolly.
The pictures are beautiful. I also appreciated the information and all the details you provided. It was very interesting.
You're very welcome Rossana.. and thank you to everyone who made lovely comments in appreciation... you're all very kind.. but I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Tomorrow it's the party :giggle:

What party is that? Isn’t there one tonight too? I don’t envy the King and Queen.

Every hotel in town must have been full with all the people involved in the whole process.
The Coronation Concert , tomorrow night.. :giggle:
performers Katy Perry, Take That (at least, the current lineup of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen) and Lionel Richie have already been booked.

Opera singer Andrea Bocelli, Welsh bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel and Freya Ridings will also perform at the show.

Steve Winwood, Nicole Scherzinger, Paloma Faith, Lang Lang and Olly Murs are also among the performers.

Tom Cruise and Dame Joan Collins will also feature in the concert, as part of a video message.

Sir Tom Jones, Bear Grylls and former Strictly professional Oti Mabuse will also appear in a series of pre-recorded sketches revealing "little-known facts" about the newly-crowned King.

Winnie the Pooh will also make an appearance, following his fellow beloved bear Paddington's show-stealing performance at the Platinum Jubilee.

Hugh Bonneville will be hosting the concert.

To name just a few... 8pm to 10pm tomorrow night..

actually it's done the hotel industry a power of good because the last couple of years have been dreadful due to the pandemic etc... and tourist numbers down.

I nearly rented my own house out ..people were getting fortunes for a room in their homes...because it was so diifficult to find hotel rooms which had been booked up months in advance..

The concert will be at Windsor Castle, in Berkshire, which is really the Monarch's home.. not Buckingham palace

Tomorrow will if the weather stays dry be the day for all the Celebratory street parties..
The weather is expected to be better tomorrow :) followed by a typically wet Bank holiday Monday :(

@StarSong, that black lace dress was also my very favorite of all! My second fav was Princess Charlene of Monaco... not so much the color, but the style. Princess Charlotte's outfit vies for 2nd, however. Both coat and dress worn by Queen Rania of Jordan were stunning.
