If it imploded, there won't be bodies.Gosh I hope not.. obviosuly I want them to be alive, and hopefully have learned a tough lesson.... but secondly... I cannot bear the thought of potentially many years of hunting for their bodies...
yes but if it didn't...If it imploded, there won't be bodies.
Oh, I see what you meant. I misread... get that wet noodle ready to lash me if ya wish.yes but if it didn't...
Looking at the rescue subs, it is noticeable that they all appear to be painted yellow. If the Titan had been painted a bright colour, it would have made it a bit easier to spot.
Yeah, I saw that today. I got it from an interview with Stockton Rush, so I'm assuming it was an old interview. Not sure where that report came from but there have been interviews done with several people who have already done the same tour in the same submersible (the Titan).
I wondered the same thing.Does anyone know if it has a beacon on it like an airplane that lands and sinks into the water and will sound an alarm for up to 90 days, so that it can be located?
Also, people have been comparing the fact that the hatch can only open from the outside after removing a bunch of bolts to the Apollo 1 tragedy. On one video I watched, a guy said it was safer to go to the moon than it is to get to the Titanic.
I think it's because they planned for every contingency before heading out to the moon.
It has it's own sled and is relatively light, so it won't require heavy-duty equipment to bring it up.

Agree, but concede the benefit would depend on the circumstance.
At the depth likely resting, color wouldn't matter IMHO.
Only things within the relatively small and limited searchlight beams will be seen regardless.
There is no natural light at that depth.
On the oceans surface ... yellow would be good.

It's crazy how much reporting is being done today. I'm learning something new from almost every video and article. It's awesome that so much interest and support is coming from friends and neighbors around the world. The stupidity and lack of foresight on the part of the designers and founders is maddening, but, naturally, rescuers completely set that BS aside...part of being a hero for a living, right?Even if the Titan submersible is found in the deep sea, rescuers would need to somehow haul it back up. And they'd only have one shot to save everyone inside, a naval architect says.

So do I... absolutey... I really am hoping for them to be found alive... and if they are , and once things have settled down, and they're all well again.. then every one of them should be billed for this massive search and rescue...It's crazy how much reporting is being done today. I hope we have a miraculous ending.
I think the odds are better than that, but it doesn't look good. The odds of finding this submarine and bringing it to the surface in time to save the occupants are about the same as winning Powerball.
