Race to find Titanic tourist submarine with British billionaire and four others aboard that has vanished

men playing boys games and getting deaded??- I feel rather sorry for the young lad who went with his father? can't remember - any women??

That banging "every 30 minutes" is creeping me out. Would people under those conditions really be in any shape to know to bang every 30 minutes like clockwork? We're talking no or very little food or water since Sunday. Little if any air left. And another thing that's been bothering me today... (Stop reading here if you don't like morbid thoughts....)

can you even imagine what it would be like watching the others die one by one... because they're not all going to suddenly go at once... and knowing your turn's coming? 😢 It's terrifying to even think about.

It's 10pm UK time.. the French rescue ship is due to reach the site of the titanic in 2 hours.....trouble is, if they get there in 2 hours, how long will it take for them to even locate the sub.. they still haven't yet .. and the experts reckons they will be out of air by 10am

Looking at the rescue subs, it is noticeable that they all appear to be painted yellow. If the Titan had been painted a bright colour, it would have made it a bit easier to spot.

Agree, but concede the benefit would depend on the circumstance.
At the depth likely resting, color wouldn't matter IMHO.
Only things within the relatively small and limited searchlight beams will be seen regardless.
There is no natural light at that depth.
On the oceans surface ... yellow would be good.

The Money Shot ...

... the thought just occurred ... what if it were painted a phosphorescent bright color that glowed in the dark.
So I think you're onto something there @Trish

Even if the Titan submersible is found in the deep sea, rescuers would need to somehow haul it back up. And they'd only have one shot to save everyone inside, a naval architect says.

It's crazy how much reporting is being done today. I'm learning something new from almost every video and article. It's awesome that so much interest and support is coming from friends and neighbors around the world. The stupidity and lack of foresight on the part of the designers and founders is maddening, but, naturally, rescuers completely set that BS aside...part of being a hero for a living, right?

I hope we have a miraculous ending.

So do I... absolutey... I really am hoping for them to be found alive... and if they are , and once things have settled down, and they're all well again.. then every one of them should be billed for this massive search and rescue...

Stockton Rush, CEO of the OceanGate company responsible for a Titanic exploration submarine currently lost at sea, prioritized diversity over experience when putting together crews. His quote during a 2020 interview: “When I started this business… other sub operators were out there but they typically had gentlemen who were ex-military submariners… a whole bunch of 50-year-old white guys.”

I don't know about the rest of you but if I ever happen to be in a submarine, (not too likely), I want everyone around me to have a background in submarine operation regardless of color. Experience and just experience should matter.

@Lilac I completely agree. Also same with the ship in Hawaii. Sorry, can't think of it's name now. When my brother was there while in the Navy, Japanese sailors were laying a wreath at the site. Respect is the word.
