The reason for nose rings ?

Just somebody clarify for me again please? Why am I seeing so many people, especially young women, who have not just one but often several rings bristling from their noses?

I want to believe there is a reason for everything.

I understand a ring for a bull's nose makes it more controllable for farmers to lead. That makes sense.

Why are you seeing so many young women with nose rings?
Probably because you are looking at them.
Why do they have them?
Why not ask one of them, they next time you are looking? They’d know more about it than any of us.
My guess is that they like it and it’s their personal preferences.

I been sorta wonderin about this myself...seem to see more
and more of the nose ring on younger women, and men too...
Oh well, their choice....
One thing that surprised me yesterday saw some lady with
5inch diameter 2inch wide metallic ear rings on, woweee....

I think they look just fine on humans too
It might not be your thing which is fine; don’t get one. These people like them so got them which is fine also. That’s what’s great about having our own choices. We don’t have to please anyone but ourself. My sister in law has her nose pierced and it looks good. She wears a diamond stud.

What on earth is good about them? Bulls have them fitted as it hurts the bull to pull against the rope leading them. At the local naked bike ride, I noticed a couple go past on a tandem. He had one in the end of his ***** and she had one in her clitoris. No thanks.

Just another fad that sooner or later i hope people quit .... some think it makes them look fun and adventurous and stand out but with as many as there are now ........ you are just one in the crowd .......
ever seen one of these girls with a cold .........not pretty often area around it gets red and looks bad............
and nothing about possible infection equal Sexy in my book.

How does other peoples nose rings or any other body piercing possibly hurt you?
You don’t like them so don’t get it done.
Others do like them, so get it done.
It’s not a difficult concept to understand.
You might like beer so buy some and drink it.
Others might not like beer so don’t drink it.
Same concept! 🤷‍♀️

... a place to hang your keys?

Same reason there are earrings, I'd think... it's jewelry and some of them are pretty. Some are garish and much too large, but I've seen earrings like that, too. That thin gold one Patty posted a pic of here looks pretty, I think.

They do not hurt me, just sad seeing a pretty girl's face vandalised.

This guy I have seen a few times in London, a retired Bank Manager, what a catch for a woman looking for a man.

Good point, I don't like them, so I don't have one. They are nothing new.

Nostril piercing has one of the longest and richest histories of any type of body piercing. Having been practiced for over 4,000 years, nostril piercing originated in the Middle East, then traveled to India and beyond; it took thousands of years to become a common practice in western civilization. Likewise, septum piercing was practiced among tribal and warrior cultures around the world for thousands of years before western civilization adopted it.

Yep, I had a friend who was a nurse. After treating patients with infections from piercings he decided to go into the business offering a safer way to go. He hated them and would never have gotten one himself, but believed others would with or without him, and he could make it safer.

I wish people would chill a little about people's taste in body adornment. The concerns matter not one iota! If you grew up in The Kayan Tribe who inhabit three villages in Mae Hong Son province of Thailand, you might be fashionable like this:

No reason for any culture to feel superior to others definition of beauty!!!!

I must say, I love that type of nose ring. Very attractive and exotic! What I don't like are those open ended nose rings with those tiny little barbells that dangle from the centre of the nose. They look as if the wearer forgot to wipe her nose!
