Is the world flawed, are humans flawed

The world is not flawed, the world is and does what the does to perfection.

Humans are flawed by the ability to choose. Humans are capable of devising destruction, murder, and pain without regret. Humans have a history of violence and premeditated assault.

There is hope for us humans but it will require the loss of will power and the ability to choose. Choices are the root of destruction, kindness and beginnings. Without choices unless programmed differently there may be peace and acceptance in the world.

"Flawed" means something has gone 'wrong', but the universe ( we're part of it) operates on physical laws. Forces and matter interact according to those 'laws', so they are doing what they are supposed to do. Nothing can go 'wrong', because whatever happens was ordained to happen. And "flawed" humans are judgements by other humans.

Chimpanzees will rip another’s arm off and beat them with it, flawed or nah? They’ll throw poop like nobody’s business too, yuck! We’re working with a small percentage of DNA that’s different so…

I like to concentrate on the humans who produce art, theater, painting, dance, architecture, etc. I like to see the humans who are doing their best to raise their kids with love and hope. I appreciate that we are the only species with comedians! I know we are terribly flawed; but I know I'm currently doing the best I can and hope most others are too.

"Glass half empty, or glass half full."? What you believe to be true is true for you. The universe is what it is. Our view of it varies with every human. In 200,000 years do you think our present situation will have much meaning?

I really don't believe perfection exists. Everything is flawed in some way.
I agree. I'm certainly flawed. Honestly I wouldn't want peace if it came hand in hand with censorship and no freedom of movement or choice. I would rather die with my boots on than live a meaningless existence such as that. This is just my opinion.

Hmm. Loss of will power and choice. That doesn't just sound like a dictatorship, that is exactly what it would be, a dictatorship. No thanks.

The "world" is as it is, there is no consciousness or agenda so no right or wrong. Humans are most definitely flawed, but many of our advancements are the result of our failures.

... sometimes the logic isn't perfect

That's heavy going. When I was just short of my tenth birthday my mother contracted TB, and died within three months. My father managed to raise his four children alone. Life was tough, very tough. That experience impacted greatly on the choices that his children made in adulthood. My Dad chose to raise his children, he knew it would be painful, he could have put us all into care, but he didn't. His selflessness was an inspired example to me and my siblings. Not my idea of being the root of destruction.
