.....I've been trying to catch up with everyone's posts!

I'll be gone all day...with my Mom. So no WiFi. Did I tell you that she fell last week?!! She was coming back from a middle of the night bathroom stop, and while getting into bed she, well, she missed the bed! Landed on the floor!
emoticon
She refused to go to the doctor, but I think she sprained her ankle. She's ok.....walking on it, driving, etc.

We need a "fun day" together!

Talk to y'all when I can....enjoy your day!

Up & moving around.
Sunny morning, forecast is for another day in the 80s.

The plans I had for today,,, will I get them done?
Feel like I need a kick in the butt to get me moving.

Hubby & helper have taken both trucks & dump trailer to haul in wood.
That means I have a few hours to myself & the dog.

Just had a Zoom meeting with my psychiatrist. We do this once a month. I had to tell her off again for being amazed I'm "tech savvy." What's the big deal, I'm not some stupid old woman I yelled. I clued her into the last month of horror, death mixed with celebration. I could have gotten in touch with her sooner. I guess I didn't want to. What's the point. My eventual "feeling better" will have nothing to do with her.

Feel depleted; let out a lot of grief in 25 minutes. Session is usually 15 minutes. She gave me the time to explode.

A second day of not doing much.. felt really tired all day. I took a little nap on the sofa.. and I'm feeling better now... so I'm going to paint my Green office wall...I've noticed that my speakers have been leaning against the wall and taken the paint off quite a lot so fortunately I have the paint still.. and will get that all repainted...

I've also been doing a big clean up of my photos on my computer. A lot more time consuming that you might imagine. I have over 70,000 photos..or HAD.. in various places..including 3 External HD's... I think I've got down to about 56,000 now..it's an ongoing process. I have to do some every single day.. ..but the memories they're evoking are very poignant..

Later today I'll start getting some of the new writeable cable tags attached to my electronics. I have so many cable and wires, and I can never know which one is for which... so this will be very helpful to me...

Is that bite reaction you had, all subsided now? I hope it's a lot better.

@Trila
So:( sorry that your mom fell.

@katlupe
That was such a good, clear explanation about your having the aide.
And it's a difficult situation, where dental work is so very expensive.

But you are a wonderful luminary. :)
That's a word that was in the word-of-the-day SF forum section,
and it fits for you! 🤩

@Pepper
Sending caring to you. That book title sounds good to me, other than for myself, it still doesn't 'feel like up to me.':rolleyes::cry:
I wonder if I should try to find that book. Do you think it might help me?

Hello to all of you, today.
I am struggling along mightily, trying to adapt, more than I feel capable of adapting, lately.

I'm not sure, I don't remember, not even sure I'm remembering it right, must Google, good luck my friend!

A cold compression helps sometimes if hydrocortisone doesn’t work.
If @hollydolly is allergic to midges and/or mosquitoes (as I am) hydrocortisone cream should work. It always does. Thankfully, it isn't often as you can't buy hydrocortisone on a regular basis, unless prescribed.

I scratch so much, yes it's that bad, that it sometimes gets infected. Not funny!

@katlupe, did your latest aid work out? (I may have missed something). I only as b/c if the agency providing them is funded by Medicare/Medicaid, then their failure to provide services while still getting funding would be a misuse of funds. May need to be reported. (I may be over-thinking this but I’m concerned)

In other news, Ed (my Prince Among Men) is having surgery today to remove his gallbladder. He should come through fine but I’d appreciate prayers for his quick recovery
Well your Prince Among Men, does have my thoughts for a good procedure and a fast recovery,... for sure.. ..having gone through it myself, I know what he'll be feeling.

I'm not allergic to mozzies or biting insects but when I get bitten it does cause quite an itchy swelling..

In Spain we have much more serious Mosquitoes.. including the Tiger Mosquito..my neighbour almost had to have her foot amputated because of the bite from one of those.,

Something that I'm still puzzled about. You meet someone at the shop, in this case a woman and her dog. She was chatty and saying she was looking for more friends.

She initiated the conversation and at the end of it, we exchanged phone numbers. However, after a few texts, all communications stopped and haven't seen her in shops (she'd moved locally).

After 3 months of no contacts or replies, I deleted her contact info.

Wondering what I did wrong? It isn't the first time this has happened.

Breaks my heart that whatever the reasons, I've not many friends in RL.

Sorry feeling quite blue these days. My bad!

Hello to all of you, today.

No Kaila, the bite site is still very swollen and itchy, but it seems to be responding to the hydrocortisone cream applied every 2-3 hours..

So sorry you're struggling so badly Kaila.. I wish you much better and nicer days.. 🤗

Good thing you have us here.. 🤗 .. ...it could be that she decided that you both have different outlooks on things.. best to know at the beginning than break off a long term friendship due to differences...

If it isn't raining, it's hot as hell in Massachusetts. I am doing online jigsaw puzzles, and reading message boards such as this one.

I always typed well so I figured I would do something useful such as transcribing historical documents for the Library of Congress. Might as well learn something in the process.

Hiya, welcome to our group, I'm on the West Coast of Scotland. I'm into the paranormal, supernatural and an indie author.

I've driven through Massachusetts. I got a clear message from beyond the veil when I wanted to go visit Salem, due to the history of the Witches.

The skies poured rain as we'd never seen before. I knew as a clairvoyant and clairaudient, it was too risky to thread in that wee city. However, what we saw if the states, you're correct, if it isn't raining, it's hot as heck!

My father made up words for me to learn all the states in USofA and your state was my favourite monicker. In French it said Ma Sa Chaussette. Which translates in English to, Put In Your Socks... Funny but, sorry!

You do require socks on rainy days in MA. Great seafood and Chinese 👍

It's currently pouring here in my town, but indoor temperatures still 22°C hot🤣🤣🤣

Well???? How was it? Was it awesome? I really do wish that I had an opportunity to see them! I never did understand what was ment by "grunge band"....but I know that I like Nickelback!!!! My favorite video is Saturday Afternoon. It makes me laugh, especially the beginning.😉
Sorry to say, I've never heard of David [...Dead ] and Company, but.....enjoy!
Up late this morning at 10am, groggy after long night. Just downed a cup of dry Lipton chicken soup and now feel better. Will have a quiet Monday at home doing little.

Before the concert, listened to best of Nickelback youtube hits, a few of which have heard on FM radio. Arrived late mid way during Country metal group Brantley Gilbert's set that was bass metal loud with much crowd rousing interaction. MV Shoreline venue holds 22k and was surprised it was maybe 80% full when Nickelback came on at 9pm. Lots of young rowdy fans driving in from the rural Central Valley where Country is always strong. Lots of HS teens. Lots of drinking given alcohol sales all over venue. Nickelback lead guitar lead vocalist Chad Kroeger interacts confidently with his audience with the best of rockers. Their songs have meaningful lyrics. Midway through Nickelback set, about a quarter of crowd had left as it was Sunday after all with work and school rising early Monday. Many younger people in groups start partying early on their road trips, then burn out early during evenings.

I'm never one to watch rock concerts from one place, instead wandering about looking for open areas with a view of stage or video monitors, mixing with a crowd, usually on my feet. Freestyle dancing at times in open areas during song peaks, revving up nearby crowds. Nickelback began in 1996, peaking during following decade so a fan disconnect between generations. Many Nickelback numbers start off with slower instrumentals and vocals and midway turn up the energy. Stage is too far away from upper lawn areas to bother with trying to watch stage so just watched large monitors from way back at top in open spaces. Crowd knew lyrics to their songs. Kroeger seemed impressed with how lively the rowdy crowd was. Was a well spent cheap $17.70.

Funny...venue has 3 large parking lots, and a large group afterwards was standing around a large vehicle talking. I waited to drive off after 90% of others had done so that were just idling in grid lock for much of an hour. About that time the driver arrived with them all saying "Bobby" this and that as he was in a daze and had apparently walked out into the wrong lot, lost. 😄

A cat wandered through our yard & Mac saw it.
He went crazy wanting out.

Can't help but wonder if someone dropped off an unwanted cat?

After some thought,, told hubby , 'maybe a cat would settle Mac down?'

Our son bought their dog with them when they were here Saturday.

Their dog howled & barked at Mac for 20 -30 minutes.
She was very protective of my DIL,, would snap at Mac if he got too close.
The dogs never made friends.

@katlupe I get it about not being able to "just find" more hours for an aide to work in your tiny apartment. Mine is just a hair less than 300sf, and it takes me about 10 minutes to tidy up, 30 minutes to clean, maybe two hours to deep clean. Deep clean happens about once every week or two. I can't imagine what you even found for her to do coming in twice a week!

Don't know what ails me, but I sure haven't felt like myself lately. I have no idea who I feel like, but certainly not me.

ETA: Now if I had an aide to come and work in the garden, I could keep her busy all day every day:)
