Wow, that's awesome. I got to ride in a souped up Bonneville once that was made for the track. It sure got your attention.
I thought about tuck & roll, but I liked the smooth naughahyde better. You see, if your gf was a little miffed at you, you could just keep going around the block making right hand turns. I called them S.O.B. corners (Slide over baby). With smooth seats, she would just come sliding right over where I could make it alright. It was a bit devious, but we would both laugh about it, and I would continue on wherever we were headed.Anyone had "tuck and roll" upholstery? or "Candy Apple Red" paint?
or a "low rider"? or had an "ooga-ooga" horn?
Those were all "cool!"
That MG is the kind of car that I had in mind. My other half wasn't against the idea but she did point out that being asthmatic, open top cars expose her to airborne dust and pollen, not a good idea. Speaking to the specialist garage that I found locally, the proprietor advised me of the type of model that I eventually bought. Now we are both happy. This was Taken in the vintage car and plane museum near where I live...
This was my second favorite after the '55 Chevy, but this '58 didn't seem to sell as well, which I didn't understand. Maybe America had spent it's entire car budget on the '57, which seemed to be what most Chevy People wanted. It's seems like there were a lot of '57s
There you go. Now you can't say you never got one. To drive this one though, you need to close your eyes, climb inside, start 'er up, and drive off to anywhere in your imagination you want to go.Yes, How did you know? A black and white convertible!
You must be psychic!

Our red primer 57 had a white tuck and roll interior.Anyone had "tuck and roll" upholstery? or "Candy Apple Red" paint?
or a "low rider"? or had an "ooga-ooga" horn?

The thing is about the cars at the shuttleworth collection, is that they're not restored ..they're all in pretty much their original condition, making them far more authentic from their individual Eras...That MG is the kind of car that I had in mind. Enjoy the ride. That's IT! That's MINE! Wow! THANK YOU!!! Luv the hubs too!
