Do you eat fast food? What are your quick meals?

I’m trying to remember the last time I had a fast food hamburger or fries. We just don’t eat that way, separately or together. The closest we get to fast food is occasionally we’ll order a pizza and wings delivered on a Friday night to celebrate the end of the week.

Where others might pick up fast food for convenience, quick, easy meal for us could be a chicken sandwich or some white chicken chili (I buy a rotisserie chicken as part of my groceries for snacks and quick meals) or grilled cheese and soup. Sometimes we’ll have breakfast for dinner (scrambling some eggs and adding fresh veggies or leftover meats is easy.)

Also, there are often leftovers. I make our meals from scratch and will often make extra so I can reuse a portion or all of it for an additional meal. I make and freeze extra spaghetti sauce for example. Or if I make a roast I’ll turn the extra meat into bbq. I use chicken to make tacos, and the extra meat I season and prep goes into a bean and chicken skillet meal later in the week.

The closest I get to fast food is to steal some of the grandkid’s fries if I take them through a drive through when we’re spending time together. 😂

What about you?

Living in the largest city in my country, we are able to order using the computer, for any type of food we might want to try. Delivery time is about 20 minutes, until its at the door, piping hot and all ready paid for, including tip using debit card on the ordering app. We live 3 blocks from one of the main streets in Toronto, Saint Clair Avenue, so some of the deliveries are walked to our house by the owners of the eateries, like Dominic from Full Blood Italian foods, or The Bone Yard BBQ. or Fresh Lime Thai Foods. Each of those is big enough for two meals, a supper and lunch the next day, too. JimB.

I rarely eat Fast food... we have take aways and restaurants in the nearest town.. but very few do deliveries ( unlike the rest of the country).. so delivery apps here are a waste of time... I say thank goodness for that or I might be tempted to have them more than is good for me..

If I'm going to have Fast food..it's usually Chinese takeaway.. but even that now has become so expensive.. I rarely bother.. plus I have to drive through 3 owns to get to my favourite restaurant...

When I'm out shopping, I very occasionally might grab a McD's Cheeseburger.. but only if I find myself really hungry while shopping..

I've never been someone who would be willing to pay the extortionate prices they ask for Take-out Pizza.. I just buy them in the supermarket...

Once every few years I'll get a Kebab..again gotta go drive to buy it... but otherwise I'm not really into Fast Food...

I had a Take away delivered on Saturday last , being on my own , I have no one to share the cooking so whether it be food or drink its made by me .
So maybe every few weeks I have something delivered ready cooked , this time it was a Pizza , but to meet the minimum price i also ordered some potato wedges for supper , and a bottle of Tango Orange .
The Tango is still in the Fridge unopened, and i had a small handful of the wedges .. I ate all the Pizza , it was a small 7inch.

We prepare salads and smoothies and keep them in the frig. I love my lunches. My favorite is our "Waldorf" salad/with cinnamon. We also make dinners about every three days, so we have leftovers heated in the microwave often. I just go to frig, and within minutes my meal is ready. :)

We eat fast food when traveling sometimes if I haven't made us a lunch.
We get pizza sometimes but less often than we used to.
A quick meal is a sandwich!
