What Is The Most Important Thing You've Learned From Senior Forums ??

I have learned that @Matrix is an awesome moderator.
I have learned there are some very funny members with great senses of humor.
There are a few adorable crazies.
There are a few lovable daily complainers.
There are several very talented members.
There are some highly intelligent members, that would put me to shame if I had a conversation with them 🙂
There are a couple of cheerleaders that are always very encouraging to other members.
I could keep going but it’s past my bedtime.

So over all I have learned this forum is a nice place to come and visit.

Senior Forums is a very special place, esp after the warm welcome I received when I joined in 2017
I like that members are from around the world, can get a different point of view from them
I can start threads that are of interest to me, if others post there that's great if not that's ok Sue

Maybe not the most important, but I've learned not to expect much company 'round here after about 9P.M.

If you are West Coast ... that's 11PM for me - long past my bedtime...:ROFLMAO:

Well said.

I joined around October of 2021. I was a lot more confident ( ego satisfied with myself then.) Around March of 2022, I was diagnosed the nerve damage the pain became so bad that all I could do was manage it. I shared this with the forum. I felt everyone's support and best wishes and it helped me through a devastating life change. I took about 3 months off from the forum because I was in so much pain it was all I could deal with. I have started to feel better...for a couple months . I am taking 3 RX meds and many supplements and herbals to help the damage. It is working pretty well right now. So I have started hanging out here again. I have learned that I really enjoy the folks here, from all over the globe. I like the threads and categories here and the way people start threads and the unique posts...they are always interesting. I don't find many personal quarrels. I just have to say I really like it here. THANKS MATRIX and ALL of YOU! :)

I have learned that no matter how strongly some person has an opinion on some or several issues,
that is way different from mine, on something that seems important;

that the same person is very likely at some point, to say something that I do agree with, and something that therefore surprises me,
that likely includes something wonderful and significant, that I have in common with them.

It's a good thing for me to have realized. We have important things in common with others, even with people who appear at times, to be our opposite.

One of my favorite things about the internet is the international aspect. We get to converse with people from other countries and learn first hand about their cultures. Most often it reinforces my belief that regardless of surface differences--people are people, regardless of demographic they belong to, nationality, faith etc.
