Announcing Windows Copilot for Windows 11

I am going to try "Google Assistant" on my windows 10 laptop. I like it on my phone. You just say "Hey Google" and it listens to what you want to do. I use it to search topics. The AI searches the web and can answer some pretty complicated subjects. I don't always agree with what Google answers, but it is fun and interesting as this technology progresses.

As an elder who has since moved after retirement I monitor the 3 main mortuary obituaries where I had resided for 60+ years. Yesterday one of them listed a the passing of a 50 YO woman. I was reading the obit, when I noticed something totally unexpected. It had the charges for the photo including the private information for her son's credit card charges. Name/address/phone number. 16 digit card number, exp date & 3 digit code.

Only thing not listed was his birthdate (but that is easily obtained elsewhere). I called the mortuary immediately, talked to their secretary. Needless to say she was embarrassed & promised to remove it immediately which she did. Technology is great til it ain't. I emailed/him then called his office to warn him & cancel his card. He thanked me along with a followup email. Hopefully I helped avoid a real problem!

AI is not something I trust very much. Separated for the AI fans.

Never said it was AI. I still don't trust it. That statement was added as my personal opinion. It's like stating I believe that facial recognition software & DNA profiles are accurate. Which I don't! Both your computer camera & microphone are hackable, I will not knowingly allow that type of surveillance to invade my privacy.
