Another sunny day forecast to be hot... .☀️☀️

I've got a Charity bag to take to town... and a few other places to visit.

There's also a furniture warehouse I want to go to.. but it's in the opposite direction by quite a long way...I'll see if I can manage that today as well... :D have super day my friends..

My internet went out right after I posted yesterday, and it didn't come back until this morning.

I'll be heading into town after breakfast, for the usual...errands, workout, and pizza. I'm hoping to get the next season of The Last Kingdom from the Library, if someone hasn't beaten me to it!

We are expecting 100° plus temps all week. I may go swimming tonight.

@hollydolly This is a bathmat that @StarSong recommended. The purpose for us is to prevent falling. When I lift it to clean it up, all the hair catches on the edge. It’s easier to clean up on a daily basis.
edit - I removed the link. It showed too much info.

It’s a non-slip, comfortable shower mat.
I love that mat so much that I bought two more. Have them in all my showers, two in the house and one in the RV. What sold me on it is the non-skid backing isn't suction cups so it works on textured tiles.

The instructions say to rinse after each use - pfffttt.... After some six months I've yet to do that.

After showering I just hang it to dry in the master shower. The one in the guest bath stays in place until guests have departed, and in the RV when we're back home from our trip. Then I hang them up for a few days so they and the shower floor dry thoroughly. No mold or grunge on them or the shower floors.

So I spoke too soon about no repercussions from the storm. Got in my car yesterday and there was a puddle on the driver's side floor. What? Windows were closed - how could there be a leak? Despite all the rain we had over winter there was nary a drop in the car.

Hubby reminded me that we had a new windshield put in a couple of months ago after ours was damaged. We took it to the body shop. They were contrite and said if we drop it off today they'll have it fixed in a few hours. Am hoping they'll also dry the interior... We've been doing business with them for decades so I expect good things.

Having a snack of apple slices, carrots and mixed nuts between volunteering at the library and my chiropractor appt at noon.

Was ‘reading the shelves’ in the young adult section… saw one titled, “Manners and Mutiny”. Sounds like a possible sequel to Jane Austen’s “Persuasion” 😉😁😆. But no, sadly it’s not lol

It says that you can cut it easily to size. I wonder if you have done that with any of yours, and if it was then fine, without any edging?
I have smaller spaces, that could use material like that.

On the phone with my brother. Our little sister passed away this morning.
Cathy was a registered nurse and worked all the up until she got sick.
She was 66 and never enjoyed a single day of retirement.
Found a lump on her breast and was going through chemo therapy.
She'd had an adverse reaction to the chemo drugs and they were adjusted.
Cathy didn't complete the chemo rounds.

Cathy was admitted to the hospital just yesterday, because of the continuing adverse reaction to her chemo treatment. She did not do well last night. She was on a ventilator and experiencing organ failure. The doctor said there was a higher chance of her not surviving than surviving. Well, they got her husband, Jesse, up to the hospital this morning. Jesse is 81 and recovering from broken hip and broken leg surgery. They couldn't get Cathy's blood pressure up. They took her off the ventilator and she passed away peacefully.

It all happened so quickly. Here one day and gone the next.

Last pictures of Cathy. She sent them to me a couple of weeks ago

Oh, @Naturally, I’m so sorry! How devastating for you and your family. I’ll bet she was a jam-up nurse too 😞

That looks so refreshing. Is the white stuff meringue?
yes ..Meringue... the idea of Eton Mess is that it's broken up meringue cases... mixed together with cream and fruit ( usually Blueberries, or raspberries) and topped with Strawberries and served like this..

In the one I had today, it was actually served in a Meringue shell...:p
