My wife is a devoted Catholic, and we visited the Holy Land for 2 weeks. I bought this Olive Wood carving set in Jerusalem’s Arab Quarter for $20. It sits on top of our fireplace and is one of our dearest souvenirs. Yes, as a Lutheran and the only time in my life, I participated in a Catholic Holy Mass in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. At the spot where Jesus died, religious denominations were meaningless to me.

Our little remembrance of our Shi-Tzu Sassy. A wonderful caring loving dog. Been gone 12 years and still brings tears to my eyes when I think of her. Her ashes in that white urn.

The brown thing on the floor to the right of the bed is a thick, covered crib mattress where my boy dog, Mason, sometimes naps but mostly uses it as a way to jump up into bed at night ... and jump down onto. Much easier on his 12yr old joints.
Handmade Amish quilt I bought in about 2004 - 2005. I don't use it as long as dogs sleep with me but tossed it on the bed for a pic today.
I have long forgotten the pattern name of the quilt. Shoot .... maybe some of the quilt peeps can help me out ??

Love that idea for a dog bed, I will have to find one for my big dog. He does not sleep on the bed because of shedding and my littles would not have it anyway.
