Breaking: Yevgeny Prigozhin on Plane That Crashed... or Was He?

I always hesitate to start threads like this because I'm sure in a little while, we'll know the answer. But for now, remember Yevgeny Prigozhin of the Wagner group? He crossed Putin a short time ago... he's listed as a passenger on a plane that crashed a little while ago. Not confirmed yet, though... any thoughts before the truth comes out? Predictions were that he'd be dead within 6 months after the coup attempt.

There are murmurrings about being shot down (but that's coming from the Wagner people, so....) Not sure how soon the truth will come out, although one of the major outlets is saying that he was indeed killed.

Sergei Surovikin was detained in the aftermath of the attempted mutiny against Moscow in June and knew about plans by the paramilitary group to march on the capital.

Yes, that makes sense.

I'm not sure how anyone decides which side they're going to trust about this but I'll just say that if Putin could kill him and I think he could, then that's what happened.

I'm not at all surprised. When I saw that he staged that coup...I thought "He's a dead man". It has been reported that there are holes in the plane parts, which suggest missiles were fired at it.

Of all the conspiracies I could come up with, I'd place a bet, although a small, one on Putin taking him out. In science the simplest explanation is usually given the most credibility. Of course it doesn't work that way in politics. The Ukraine probably didn't mind, but I doubt they were involved since it happened inside Russia. What was he doing in Russia, anyway? I thought he was banished. Could Putin have invited him back for a "reconciliation," for the purpose of killing him and his top aides? That is a ploy that has been used before in other countries.

That's what I'm definitely leaning toward as well. Right after the coup, there were many whisperings of "well that guy isn't going to live long!"

It is being reported that his location for that video has not been confirmed and that he simply claimed he was in Africa... without even naming which country. And was it a livestream even if he *was* there?

It would help if we knew what brought the plane down. I read that a fire was reported onboard, so if that’s true, it could have been an accident of some sort. We will know more after the investigation as to what brought the plane down.

I am sure they will be checking parts of the plane for any type of missile gases left behind or fragments that have powder on them. It was also reported that radar contact was lost at 27,000 feet, which means someone could have turned off the transponder. If the plane had been targeted by a missile, the plane could have shown a tracking on the radar if it was equipped with the proper tracking device. Who onboard would have intentionally turned off the transponder? That’s pure stupidity and suicide.

A normal passenger plane does not have a missile tracking device on it. However, since this plane was carrying an Official of the Government or an anti Government regime, I am sure it would have had a missile tracker on it. The plane was an Embraer jet, which are made in South America in Brazil, I believe. It would have had to have a missile tracker installed on it. That plane does not come with a missile tracker installed.
