What part of your house accumulates daily clutter?

For me it’s the kitchen table. We have an open floor plan so the kitchen/living room area is essentially one large room. And also because we cook or prep all our meals so the kitchen is always busy.

I have a friend who seldom cooks, and she’s retired and not very mobile. So for her it’s her den coffee table and side table next to her recliner.

I think daily clutter tends to build up in the most used area(s) of the house.

Where does your daily clutter land?

We designate the last two feet of the breakfast bar as the give away zone. There are nine of us here and if you do not want something we put it there and if someone can use it they take it. Just yesterday I scored sharpies, push pins and scotch tape. The box of earl gray tea has been there three days and today it and a few other things go to the trash or donation box to keep it from being clutter spot.
 
This corner cubbie in the spare room...I tend to dump everything on it , and have to clear it off every other day...

My son's the same way. We bought a 32 gallon outdoor (normally) trashcan and put it in his room because he hates to empty his trash. On the first day he had a pile, between his bed and the trashcan, of all the trash that didn't reach the trashcan when he threw it from his bed. I had to mention that to him.
 
Kitchen counter aka...the breakfast bar. It's the first space to dump things after walking in from my garage door.
So, the mail goes there, my purse, keys, water bottle, telephone book on the bar stool. Mail gets opened and left there till I figure out what I want to do w/it.

I also have a potted plant on one end of the counter too.

With Bonnie, it's not trash (to her) but a bunch of unfinished craft projects, dozens of pairs of shoes (an empty shoe tree on the closet door), countless bottles of nail polish and cosmetics, and a slew of do-dads and gadgets, and none of it has a permanent place.
 
Kitchen table or should it be renamed to the arts and craft table, the game playing table, the communal meeting place. The table where relatives sit when they want you to feed them. The grandchildren's Lego and play dough table. The drawing table with lots of hand drawn paper pictures on it. Our kitchen table always has lots of interesting stuff all over it.

My stuff, my desk
Recpts and mail mostly
I file them every few days

Other than that, even dust has yet to settle anywhere
...and I'm not sure why we have a hamper
I put my clothes and wash cloths in there, but within the blink of an eye, it's gone
 
My computer desk in the Florida room and the adjacent writing desk are an endless struggle with paper and things to do.

On the dining room table I keep a pad for a shopping list. I am alone, so the mess is all mine.
