For the last few days, I have been having problems with YouTube.I am not able to copy any link to pass on a song or video. I have tried everything to find a way to do it, but no luck. I clicked on the embedded link and nothing worked. Is anyone else having this problem?

No problem here Sassycakes, if I want pass on a link,
when the video is playing, I put my cursor in the main
address bar at the top, right-click my mouse, then click
on copy.

That works every time for anyway.

Mike.

I'm not having this problem.

I do it like Mike does; copy the link that's in the address bar, paste it to a post.

You might try restarting your computer. YouTube made some changes recently. A restart would make sure they translate to your computer ok.

Did you try a different browser or can you try a different computer perhaps just to see if it is your computer.

You might try using the share option on the video and use that link instead of the one from the address bar. Not sure if it will work but worth a shot.

As someone troubleshooting hardware and software computer problems for decades, at some point when what a non-savvy technical person tries to relate repeatedly doesn't make sense, the troubleshooter is forced to resort to actually looking at their computer hardware and software settings and what that person is actually typing, keystroke by keystroke. Before that, booting Windows in Safe Mode, and then performing whatever operations is a first step.

It happened to me too so I then I noticed in smaller type below it said "youtube" (again) so I clicked on that and haven't had a problem since. Sometimes you just have to keep clicking on everything until the computer just wants to get you off their back and let you have your way haha

Sign out of YouTube Sassycakes and close the site,
Then hold down the left "ctrl" key and open it again,
keep the "ctrl" key down till it starts, that usually will
reset a programme to factory settings, with nothing
added.

Mike.

I'm using the YT app. I click on the share symbol and then click copy link. One thing different than with YouTube in the browser, you always have to sign in. With the App, always signed in.

I know for a fact that you can't download without paying, it's been like that for a while now.

Hope that helps! Try these videos as well
On mobile
On PC laptop
On Android tablet
