It all looks so peaceful and inviting, Holly. I am glad you had a good change of scene and pace, for your efforts!:)

Just the pent-up tears since hubby died. (Sorry battery died on phone, it's charging). I get a migraine 2-3 days in a row, third day I'm just balling my eyes out. Stiff upper lip and all, but some days it just overwhelmes me.

Questions asked on phone from nurse just brought everything to the fore. I just need something to ease my nerves, I've been on edge too long. SORRY!
Do you begin to get some relief then? After the 3 days of building misery, and then the crying? which is hopefully a release, even though we understand, it is allllll very rough.

Fence #2 is now gone.....just a few months earlier than planed. All that remains are a few fence poles.

The part that was ordered for the PC has not arrived yet, so there still is no way to know if it will fix the problem, or if we will have to replace the PC.

Dio seems to be healing correctly this time. We are still waiting for the results of the biopsy.

to everyone for all of your good wishes!! It's been quite a week! 😘

After not shooting any basketballs for a month, today did so for an hour. That is to help rehabilitate neural coordination from my right shoulder rotator cuff injury from 20 months ago. The injury disconnected a bunch of right arm/shoulder muscle control neurons I've had to rebuild and that arm tends to be stiff. Required about 5 months before I was able to raise my right arm fully above my head.

Began missing short most shots but after about 10 minutes warming up and feeling ranges was making most easy shots. For rehab, I play a solo two handed shooting aiming game moving CCW around the 9 positions of the key. Any miss and I move back to the first position beside the basket. Three times managed to make 5 straight but then missed 6th shots from the right side of the free throw line. Chasing the always after shots bouncing about balls is also good respiratory exercise.

I made a couple of business calls and had a short conversation about one of those calls (college bursars office) with my granddaughter.
I finally started the process of cleaning my living room blinds which are vertical. Somehow they got greasy. I don't fry foods and the blinds are no where near the kitchen anyway. Maybe it happened because I often have to touch them, sometimes with lotion on my hands, to get them to line up correctly, especially after Deja gets through with them. I used a degreaser on both sides and rinsed. After an hour and half, I still had more of the front side of the slats to do. I was tired and hungry so I took a break with the intention of getting back to it. That didn't happen.

My son and I had a brief meeting after he got home from work. It turned into a nice conversation and laugh fest. He brought me a whaler sandwich and potato salad from the food truck in Newark, N.J. that he patronizes often. That thing is so huge that I could only eat 1/4 at a time. After I ate that, I fell asleep. I had told him to wake me up 1/2 hour before he planned to go to bed. When he did that it was time to empty the cat litter, wash out the litterbox and load the dishwasher before he went to bed (certain sounds disturb his sleep). I also watched one and a half episodes of Sweet Tooth (Netflix), last night's World News Tonight and part of today's GMA.

Got a haircut today. It was only 3 1/2 weeks. My hair dresser is going away for 3 weeks and I knew I couldn’t wait over six weeks and I figured she’d be burned out after her European vacation. My hair grows fast. This cut may be too short; fortunately my hair grows fast.

It was another beautiful fall day. Three walks and some grocery shopping.

after ahectic evening last night photographing a dance troupe outdoors on the sea front doing stuff from "The Greatest Showman" then editing the photos when I got home - I need a relaxing day today!

I haven't been to my local nature reserve for a while so a nice walk and some budgie photography is in order.

I laid down at 330AM but could not sleep. Decided to just get up, shower and go to get the groceries early at about 6AM.

Temp is supposed to be about 107, at least I will get ahead of it. We are supposed to have lower temps next week. A few days in the 80's with possibly some rain which we need so bad.

Have not cooked in a while. I have some baby back ribs and will make scalloped potatos. I will see what veggies look good when I get to the store. I also think it is time to make a pie, there are two many choices. I will have to let you know!! LOL

Okay, off to get ready, have the best day you can!!

I'm awake. It's time.

🥐🥐

It's gonna be a great day...only 80 at noon! Woohoo and stuff.
it was high 80's in my room all night... horrible.. had the fans on, and they just about saved me from melting completely.. but really horribly hot trying to sleep..

Today it's hotter inside my house than it is outside... temps have dropped to 80 outside.. but it's verrry cloudy... no rain expected tho'..

Just had a text from the Tree Surgeon, who chopped down my big Holly Tree... he was supposed to return and top my 30 foot Laurel Hedge and never did... he said he lost my number and just found it this morning. I don't believe him, because he lives near me so he could have just called round..however, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on this occasion because I need that work done...

Needed the loo in the early hours, picked my way around three flaked out cats, it is seriously hot, especially when you have a permanent fur coat.
Whisper it, they are back to the cat hotel this evening, but only for one night. We are off to The Goodwood Revival later on this afternoon. We will be returning late Saturday, after the evening's festivities.

This year's revival is a sell out again, some dear friends missed out, so, they bought weekend tickets for the "Back to the 40's," jolly on The West Somerset Heritage Railway, also this weekend. We are swapping Sundays and, surprisingly, Goodwood gave permission without admin charges. I was impressed. Do you like the lady's hats Holly? I love the factory worker with the visor.

Good Morning, everyone! Had a storm last night that lasted a couple of hours. So I unplugged all my electronics and listened to music on my mp3 player while I colored. The storm just went on and on but I didn't lose power.

Today is the start of the music and arts festival that is an annual event here. It is called "Colorscape" and there will be all kinds of things going on all week-end. I will be checking it out since it takes place right here where I live in the downtown area.

ooooh how fab... a weekend of festivities right on your doorstep... get out and enjoy as much as you can, Kat..I know it's difficult for you, but you can be a spectator to some of it..

Cloud has gone here.. and the sun is back out... 86 deg.... Tomorrow it's forecast to be 91.... I love the sun, and I don't want to complain about it but the heat here in the UK is unlike heat anywhere else, it's very draining...
