Well, that's just it HD. I wouldn't care or mind if a woman happened to touch my back, or arm. Limb I might have actually enjoyed at one time, or ignored if it was accidental! The thought of complaining would have never occurred to me! But I am speaking from a man's point of view, so the rest of you please don't take me apart! <duck> I am still recovering from other unpalatable remarks I made over in another thread!

I don't care if a man or a woman come to that touches my arm , leg or back.. as long as there's no S..exual intent... of course in the example posted with the News Correspondent in Spain..that's a different matter, she was trying to work, he was a total stranger to her, he had no right touching her at all, Period.. but it surprised me that he was being charged with S..exual assault, and apparently this is how easily it can happen.. that if you do touch someone regardless of where on their body.. or who they may be .. you could easily be charged with a serious offence...

What a sad, pathetic world! :cry: So many material things have improved for us and so much tolerance (not only in touching) for each other's views and behaviour has gone out the window! I wouldn't mind if only bad behaviour were censored or punished, but all too many innocents get caught up in our modern witch (wizard) hunts!

One last thought and then I'll go to bed! What if a man (and men tend to do that) gives an appreciative look to a retreating woman because he enjoys her svelte figure and she turns around and catches him ogling her? Would that be considered to be an assault by eye and are there actually cases where this has happened?

I know, I know, how ridiculous can you get? But I am only being slightly tongue-in-cheek here! Since I can get get charged for touching a woman's arm, or shoulder, or knee inadvertently it doesn't seem so far fetched to me. Just curious how far we are willing to go (or are going) in this?
 
when I taught school an 8th grade girl pantsed a 6th grade boy in the hallway durung passing time. She was given 1/2 day suspension in the school. What do you think an 8th grade boy who pantsed a 6th grade girl would be given in the same circumstances?

Pantsing - suddenly pulling down another persons pants to below the knee without their consent.

That said, I remember an incident that occurred at an end of school year picnic for year 10 girls, mostly 16 years old. It so happened that they were enjoying a dip in the river after lunch. At the same time a boys school was doing the same with their Year 7 boys, mostly 12 year olds. A couple of the boys accosted one of our girls and felt her up.

Her girlfriends were incensed and mobbed the two boys and debagged one of them. The other boy ran into the water and tried to swim away but he was followed by a phalanx of angry girls who looked for all the world like a pack of sharks after a seal.

The boys school teachers thought it was very funny and it was one of our teachers who rescued the boys from the Valkyries.

I was vice principal at that time and when the busses arrived back at school it was my task to speak severely to the revenging maidens about their behaviour, especially the debagging. I did my best to keep a straight face, but imposed no punishment because it was their last day at the school and secretly I approved their actions.

Men, especially white men, are not supposed to exploit anymore; whether it is for labor or dominance or the ability to use derogatory names. Ouch that hurts, right? Just birthing pains, don't worry; do try to get over it. If not, guess society has to stay mired in the muck.

I have never in my life met a woman who did not have a story of some sort of unpleasant sexual encounter to relay, whether in childhood or young womanhood. Never.

Instead of running from it, gentlemen, please consider it.

No one is picking on you, g-d forgive you for your hurt, delicate feelings, for it's YOU, IMO, who is the snowflake.
 
Man bashing has become commonplace in society these days.
We see it in the form of false police reports by women to get back at men that didn't take to their advances.
We see it in court custody battles. Women file a restraining order against men for the simple fact they are not accepting of the divorce.
We see it when men hold doors open for some women. The man gets berated for being sexist.
We see it in the workplace. Unqualified women getting promoted because they cannot be treated as equals. If they are, and a disagreement ensues, then the woman can get men fired just on a false accusation.

And some women are frustrated because there are no good men left. Thats not true. Its the downside of initiating a possible relationship is not worth the problems that come with it.

Our society has been man bashing for decades. Some subtle (commercials/ads that portray a man as incompetent/weak, playing it as a side joke). Some not so subtle, Just the utterance from a woman that a man did something, gets men fired for no reason besides payback.
Sorry, many women have issues, not all but enough to make interactions impossible.

I know some don't want to hear this but this is by design. The breakdown of the family structure has been going on for decades, and one of the first steps is to take men/fathers/husbands out of the family nucleus, leaving a reliance on government by women and children.

So rather than say, succumb to the mantra that men are bad, strong men, will stand up for their gender and not agree that their being a man is bad. Men who say, 'yes dear, you are always right', are weak examples of a man.

The expectations for how a man should act should not be determined by women (or weak feminized men).
This is why men are turning away from helping women, for fear of being targeted.
Men are expected to comes to a woman's defense when being attacked. Is that sexism? Who draws the line when men should be agressive and passive, women? I think not.

I'm not saying or give credence to men that are truly bad, but to paint such a broad picture of 'men/bad, women/good', is false. There is bad on both sides.

That exact senario was presented [on video] @ a required class [we called it charm school] I forget the actual name of the class, back when I was still working.

The instructor / facilitator said it was indeed sexual assault , and if the female complained ... some form of [job action] would be taken against the male employee(s) .

I politely held my hand up [just like when we were 12/yr olds] and informed him that when the male members of the species stops admiring the female members of the species ..... the species will cease to exist.

I heard about it from [the] boss when i returned to work. I said so fire me ... but you will not tell me how to behave, or what to say.

I worked 11 more years then happily retired.

Oh dear, now you call us gentlemen, the woke fraternity will not like that one bit for the reasons mentioned. In real life I am a gentleman but by association, on forums, I like to fit in with the natives.
As we are no longer allowed to use the term "batsman" in my beloved cricket but have to say the next "batter" in, I wonder what the woke demands are regarding the use of Ladies and Gentlemen, accepting toilet names have reallocated names.

I agree, businesses typically are against middle-aged white men. These diversity sessions in the workplace typically target middle-aged white men. You rarely see videos portraying women or minorities being the aggressor.

Funny, women don't want to be looked at BUT, they dress provocatively, wear makeup, low cut blouses, high heels, all things to get people to look, then cry sexual harassment when a man they don't think is cute looks at them. BUT, given a good looking man looks their way, they are flattered and put themselves in a situation to get more attention from that person.
