Oh, how I wish I could be like Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way. Truth is, I've spent many years as Alice in Wonderland, a curious dreamer who has fallen down plenty of rabbit holes. Now that I'm elderly, I hope I am becoming more like Pollyanna--always finding something to be glad about! :)

Like you, I've spent a part of my life as Alice In Wonderland. Some of it good, some of
it, not so good.

Now, I'm more like Miss Marple, trying to solve the mysteries of the universe

I’m torn between two characters I have loved since childhood. Anne (from Green Gables) and Jo (from Little Women).

Loved Anne because she was imaginative, ambitious, competitive, smart, loved reading and writing and always made the best of bad situations and was never afraid to speak her mind or stand up for herself or others.

Jo was also smart, impulsive, argumentative…loved writing and and willing to do anything for her family.

Ever think about hosting a workshop? The earth needs more men like you!
Thank you, I used to do four workshops a year locally and two in men's prisons. I am a fairly rugged carpenter and my eyes tear with the slightest of emotion. Imagine me giving talks to men with tears running down my face. The picture with the white tux was from one of those workshops.

Henry David Thoreau

Transcendentalism, essay “Civil Disobedience” (1849), Walden Pond, Much time, was spent in meditation, Walden a series of 18 essays describing Thoreau’s experiment in basic living and his effort to set his time free for leisure and A tax collector (Staples) asked him amiably to pay his poll tax, which Thoreau had omitted paying for several years. He declined, and Staples locked him up.
I will provide examples and details if someone is interested. :)
