Nope... not everyone... some pretend to be kind!!!

L'un d'entre vous, Nice People, est-il allé là-bas et comment c'était ?For years I promised myself that I'd take a trip to Paris and go to the top of the Eiffel Tower but It wasn't to be.
Have any of you Nice People been there and what was it like?![]()

Very crowded...I mean verrrrry crowded.. and the lift up to the top floor is glass bottomed.. and you can see all the rust holding the structure together as you go up...For years I promised myself that I'd take a trip to Paris and go to the top of the Eiffel Tower but It wasn't to be.

You don't need my thanks... but I thank you anyway for doing thatI was behind a young kid at a chinese fast food restaurant. He carefully picked out what he wanted them to serve him. They rung up his order and he took off. They yelled but the kid was out of sight. I paid for his meal; he obviously was hungry. The employees yelled and asked me why I did that. I said "because I am nice" and walked away. I stared at them when I saw them pointing at me; still angry.
I went years ago (in my 20s) and don't remember the rust, but do remember the thrill of being up there. Our ride wasn't as crowded as HD's.yep been there twice... Europe has become a very crowded continent in the last couple of decades....particularly places like London and Paris..I went years ago (in my 20s) and don't remember the rust, but do remember the thrill of being up there. Our ride wasn't as crowded as HD's.

I also spent a lot of time there in the 70's,,,that was 50 years ago... LOL... the population of London is now close to 9 million...I don't remember a time when London wasn't crowded. I spent a good deal of time there in the 70's, and it was the crowds that made it more exciting. I think transport has a lot to do with it. Transport links in London have always been good, and the better the transport, the smaller the city. Paris is the same.
What I could not get over in London was how those massive double-decker buses navigate the narrow (relatively), often curvy streets, seemingly with little effort. Whooshing past each other and merging in and out of traffic. Hats off to the drivers; they must have nerves of steelI also spent a lot of time there in the 70's,,,that was 50 years ago... City centre typical Saturday...
