Very Sad 15 Year Old Girl Stabbed to Death

On a bus going to school, the police were here where I live,
giving us all advice how we should react to somebody who
tries to break in to our homes, we are all old, the young
police woman told us that, the girl and the killer were arguing,
about a bunch of flowers, he was trying to give to her, but
she didn't want them.

The result was death for one and jail for the other, the center
of the town is still locked down for the police.

Reading the full text, I was shocked because she was exactly the same age as one of the girls at a school where I was teaching many years ago, was brutally murdered.

Then I saw a sentence that shocked me even more - "He added that it had been 22 months since a teenager had been murdered in Croydon".

Actually that's not what happened. At first the police thought that the girl got stabbed after turning down the 17 year olds' advances on the bus to school...

What in fact happened.. was that the girl had broken up with him.. he'd brought flowers onto the bus to give to her to make -up.. and she spurned his advances quite publicly.. , and then her friend stepped in and told him to go away..I would imagine quite forcefully.. and it was the 15 year old FRIEND of the girl who he stabbed with a Machette !!

Thank God I don't live in that part of London..it's like the wild west down there...

2 wasted lives, so sad.
 
The saddest part is that her friend tried to split them
apart when they started arguing and she got it instead,
the young girls parents must be really devastated, they
sent their daughter off to school and she never came home.

The road is still closed today, with lots of TV cameras at
the police tape and across the road, all aimed at the bus
she was on, I have no idea what they are waiting for, the
police said that it will stay closed till the parents get to
the scene, but they were there yesterday.

Still sad, very sad, I went to town earlier and there are not
many happy faces, everybody is in shock, we are all a bit
used to boys stabbing each other, but not a girl getting
killed.

We need somehow to stop this, they say that you are only
6 feet from a rat and a knife in London, so I can't see that
light at the end of this tunnel.

Sad and infuriating at the sametime. A 17 year old suspect with the will to kill. Teen males seem to be out of control everywhere.
