Hollywood needs some of these old icons every once in a while for roles only they can fill. It's different from the usual Corporate environment where us old guys get forced out to panhandle on the streets.

I thought he did a good job as 'Dumbledore' in Harry Potter movies after Richard Harris who orginated the role died in 2001

IDK. I liked Richard Harris better. Michael Gambon was great in Gosford Park though. He played such a thoroughly detestable dick. Now that's a good actor.
;)

I do not know anything about this man but it is sad for the younger generation. They see older people as actors in a movie they love. When they die, innocence of children die. They start to realize that the older people in their lives will also die. To me that is so sad. They see life for what it is, that they will lose their grandparents and parents sooner than they realize.

Awww. I just watched him in a movie on Tubi, "Dancing at the Lughnasa." He played the priest brother of five Irish sisters, retired due to dementia, he's come home to live out his final years with them. He was excellent. Also starring; Merle Streep Sweet movie.

In my previous post I said Michael Gambon did a good job as Dumbledore, though I was a fan of Richard Harris His portrayal of Dumbledore was more kind spirited,Gambon's was more dark&mysterious
