Things that don't make sense.

The environmental cost of bottled water is incredibly high. Imagine, simple water pouring out of a glacier. It have to be collected (by some powered device), tested, and bottled. The bottles are made of everyone's favorite, plastic. Then it has to be distributed, either by ship, air, or road, all over the country and world. It's placed on shelves where it is bought and taken far and wide. Once the water is done, most of the bottles are simple garbage. For a quick swig of water. It truly is a crazy thing. Most of the cost of a bottle of water is getting the water into your hands, because the water itself is likely near "free".
Yeah, a lot of people just use a refillable sports water bottle or flask. I just refill mine from the refrig water dispenser before going out. It's normally big enough that I don't need to refill, but water is pretty available most anywhere.

People who allow a political party to become part of who they are, above all else.

A religious conviction that is largely based on where you're born (US - Christian, India - Hindu, China - Chinese Folk Religions, etc.)

In terms of war, the idea that God is on your side (although a fine song by Bob Dylan).

Why people like Olives.

People with strong convictions about things they know virtually nothing about.

People who think love, and marriage, are a joke.
You had me except for the olives. I'll take your share.

Amazing what memories can rise to the surface.

Anyone else remember being sent to the drugstore for Coke Syrup that came in pint sized waxed paper "milk carton" packaging?
I can't remember what it came in, but Coke syrup was what my mom gave us when we had stomach flu and couldn't keep anything down. A spoonful or two of that was very soothing, for some reason.
