What have you bought recently?

LOL @hollydolly! We were posting at the same time. I own a couple of pairs of Merrell Encore Breeze Slides. One pair is kept under my bed in case of an overnight emergency where the lights are out and I need shoes very quickly.

During warm weather I'm almost always in flip flops, but sometimes need more support. Don't wear socks unless it's cold, so that's how I started up with Merrells.

I think I told you a while back Star, that I stopped wearing anything that has no back to them after I had that last major fall caused by the back of my sandals catching on the doorstep...

I do recall that. When I hear doctors warning us against falling as we get older, I always wonder, do they think we're idiots who are planning to fall?

The Bay has them, which means they’ll be on sale at some point.
 
My house slippers are Merrells. They have good arch support and are easy to take off. They’re strictly for indoors. I‘ve taken the insoles out and hand wash them. I have another cream pair for outdoors in the summer.

I bought a pair of Merrell thong sandles several years ago. They fit so well and I wore them until they literally fell apart after years of use.
 
Yesterday I bought some Dearfoam slippers at Costco for $13.99. They're wonderfully soft and squishy inside, plus have backs. I treat myself to new slippers every year and demote the the previous year's pair to the chore of outdoor slippers for quick dashes into the yard.

Also bought 3 bags of frozen fruit and stocked up on Peet's, DH's favorite coffee bean, because it was on sale. Before I knew it, $178 had disappeared 💸 and it's not even cookie/pizza season yet!
