Oh shitaki mushrooms... That's not good at all...

Found a special on parcooked wee buns. We gave up the idea of expensive sandwich tray and changed our plans. Still went to M&S...

We've decided on just getting deli meats, funky cheeses and condiments, to accompany these buns. However, we got an amazing Triple Chocolate Cheesecake for our dessert. Plus a wee splurge of gingersnaps and double cream. We also found (but not tried yet) White Chocolate Milk. Got another lot of foods for the week. The weather was nice bit cloudy but the wind from that storm had died down.

We'll be making either Pea and Ham soup or Yellow Split Pea. Might go for Cream of Broccoli instead. Can't find the right costume in stores so, might have to look online. We feel like dressing up this year lol...

Had Blue Dragon Noodle meals for lunch, Hoisin Duck for myself, Special Chow Mein for daughter. Accompanied by Duck Rolls.

Dinner will be amazing fish bite tempura with a pack of crazy ALPHABITES Chips. The kids in us couldn't resist lol!

Them gingersnaps and double cream for dessert. CoffeeBean just finished his Tuna and Trout from Whiskas. He's asleep, once again, between the two of us on sofa. Cute furbaby...

Well, DS replaced the innards in the upstairs toilet today; removed and threw out the mini blinds at the very narrow long window at the end of the hallway. We hung a curtain panel, but I have to get a tie-back or hook to drape it open during the day.

I managed to rid the kitchen floor finally, of taping dust, and vacuumed the louvered closet door. More to do.

Rainy day in NW PA.
Car show/Jeep rally for our young friend who got a new heart.

She wasn't there as it sounds like touch & go for her.
Jamie had lung transplant when she had her first heart transplant.
Has caught some sort of infection in her lungs.

Talked with her father,, he sounded like he was about ready to break down.

I don't usually ask for prayers,,could you pray for Jamie & her family?

Thanks so much.

It's Saturday in October so I'm watching College Football. Finished watching Ohio State beat Penn State, now watching WVU playing Oklahoma State. Tie game for now. Also flipping channels and watching Alabama vs Tennessee. Tennessee is ahead 13-0, which would be an upset.

Not sure who I can watch in the late game.

Oh my dear, of course! What a battle.

I doubt that they'll fit any other home I have or get..I have double aspect windows in the livingroom which are different sizes...
If you like them and there's no move imminent, I,'d put them up, and enjoy them.

Even if it turns out that you're just there for the one more winter,
it would make it nicer for you, for the upcoming months, and probably would help to sell, if you get to that point.

But you're there for now, so i suggest to enjoy them.
Unless you prefer to return them, if it's an option.
If not an option, then it's all the more reason to put them up! 😁
I close my case. ☺️😄

Today was a really lazy day. I played games, watched TV and practiced some more. The most significant thing we accomplished was videoing my "finger-sync" to be incorporated into my latest music video. I was happy to have gotten through it with no mistakes in fingering. "T" says she can work with what we sent but I realized I forgot to put on my special ring, so my hands look too bare. The amethyst and gold ring was a gift for my birthday when my oldest grands were still little...from my son, their mom and them.

I plan to have my son do another video tomorrow with me wearing the ring. I also had long conversations with my dear friend Hunter, "T" and my BFF.

Sunday is "winding the clock" day. It's an 8 day Westminster chime wall clock. I like traditional clocks and this one keeps very good time.

After the storms of the past few days, today it's a lovely Autumn day. Blue sky, sunshine and a light westerly breeze. No real damage in the garden, but tons of leaves over everything. I suppose I'd better get raking! Got a load of washing on the clothes line. I always prefer to dry the clothes naturally and it saves on electricity.

Got to set up the laptop for doing a 'Zoom' call with daughter and OH. Onwards and upwards....

Taking 🐈‍⬛ 🐈 to their own vet today for the first time. They have received their first shots from the shelter vet and now need their first boosters. They desperately need a nail clipping as well! My son will be over at 10:30 am for an eleven appointment.

I have many questions about these two. They STINK, IMO! They don't smell like any cats I've ever had. Weird. My son gets very offended when I say they stink, he acts like I'm telling him HE stinks.

I always loved cat breath but these two don't have it. They were born on the streets of Queens, NY, and went into a shelter after weeks living outside.

Well at long last the rain has stopped.. and it's sunny and warm... 🌞 🌞 🌞 but everything is soaked thoroughly outside...

In the garden I had to brush down 3 days worth of Cobwebs over the patio furniture... .. and the Ivy over the shed has grown as fast as a 100 meter sprinter.. so I had to cut that back.. even though it's absolutely drenched ...

Got all the windows open now to let the house get. warmed by the sun....

On my early walk at 6:30 temp was 48,as I walked halfway down my street
This morning will be walking to my church for our 10:30 service. I haven't been there in person in 2 weeks due to not feeling up to it/knees were stiff/sore because of my arthritis. When it gets cold/damp I really feel it in my knees I was watching services on line but rather be there in person
No other plans for today talk with my brother start reading another book

I wasn't gonna let that take a full hold so I immediately moved into the preventative position and prayed it wouldn't take hold.. but My god.. in a deep sleep having cramp like that could cause one to have heart failure...

@VaughanJB Sausages for the dog? How about sausages for me?

@hawkdon This blue-haired old lady is glad you're feeling better. And @hollydolly I hear you loud and clear. That's happened to me and woke me up out of a sound sleep. Grrr.

@Pepper Maybe, just maybe, they have some sort of stomach problems from having lived in the streets. Like some kind of parasites? Ask the vet!

It's a lovely Drop day. The wind predicted yesterday never materialized. Yay.

DD has been wishing out loud for weeks that we'd go to an antique store in the village so we're going this afternoon. It's a fun place to browse. DGD wants to go, too. DD has gone to fetch her, and when they get back we'll be off to admire stuff from way back in the way back. Please don't let me spend any money! I don't have anywhere to put anything in this teeny, tiny hovel. And besides, I'm trying to squirrel away 💰💰so that I can gift the kids with substantial Christmas "bonuses."

Work today was hard but pleasant. Sir's day off is supposed to be today, but since we'll be short-handed for a week, he's there. Actually, even when TL is there we're short-handed:rolleyes:

The skating party yesterday was for our friend's 9 year old daughter. Our friends Melinda and Brad are an awesome couple. It's a second marriage for both of them. They are soooo good together, you can tell that they appreciate having found each other! A few weeks ago they had a 50's party for Melinda's 15 year old daughter. It was a great party!!! Melinda said it was ok for me to share this video of her and Brad from that party....

Almost midday Sunday. Since Friday pm, have not had Internet access from my Dell laptop because AT&T made mistakes when connecting up a new customer. So just using this old moto g smartphone, pecking at the screen.

Today is a huge Oktoberfest a few blocks away. 15 bands on 4 stages over the weekend and will return for the best classic rock group that begins in 80 minutes.

Hopefully will get back up on the web by later Monday. Had to go down to a local AT&T store to help straighten the situation they caused out.
