This morning it was raining on /off so I decided to do some shredding for about 1/2hr The pile has dwindled alot thanks to the new shredder I bought in April from Amazon
When I was finished noticed the sun was making an appearance, temp was 58,so my long walk of the day{5 blocks} walked to the independent book store {am a member} bought 2 books. On my way back I saw 2 adorable dogs who live with their owners in the apt complex 2 doors from my apt building. One of the dogs was a mix named' Chewy' his owner said 'he's shy' but he came right to me, let me pet him. I guess he sensed I was a dog lover. The other was a 10 week old golden retriever'Henry' ,he also came right to me, could feel his sharp teeth was enjoying the attention

Got a few boxes of an amazing product, few days ago. It's called "Astonish"

Kitchen

So, this afternoon, we did the oven interior, the solid rings on cooker. The back panels above the counter AND our newly acquired tea/coffee set in stainless steel that was extremely stained.

It cleared all the stains (grease too) from everywhere. What a bargain, very low prices and it works. Double whammy!

PS from the coffe and tea carafes state before and after, it's outstanding. They now look brand new. I'd definitely recommend you get these if you want to sparkle your kitchen appliances without the strains of elbow grease. It's easypeasy to use, rinse, repeat if needed. A doddle!

Today is what I call a relaxed-busy day. I loaded and ran the dishwasher twice and put some items away. I started catching up on replies to some of my threads here on the forum in addition to checking and responding to others. The good friend who is producing my next video wants to feature clips of my hands playing the keyboard. Therefore I practiced "finger-syncing" so that when my son videos my fingers, they perfectly match what I played when I recorded the song. I have an accuracy problem sometimes so I really had to practice the fingering for the run.🎹🎶

MQ, as another dog lover, I would be thrilled to have met those two dogs.

Last week at the supermarket I met a mix of Yorkie w/ I forgot what. This dog was so beautiful; small, but sweet faced, a pretty, toasty color and so friendly!

Then, on my way out I was allowed fawn over and pet a lovely Maltese.

Not that a favor small dogs, I love almost all of them. It's just that I live in a small condo and can't really exercise a larger dog.

How I wish I could give a good home to a Border Collie!

I'm up. It's gonna be a sunny and warm-ish day.

One of two lucky days every week. TL is off :). Sir left her a note yesterday: Bake cookies. It will be interesting to see if she bakes, packages, labels and puts them out on the tables/shelves. He didn't say anything except "bake," but she's a concrete thinker so without having specifically been told to do the rest, she probably won't. We'll see.

Time to put my Self together and get a move on. This is Saturday, right?

Hi folks......well I'm here, so much for that...still damn painful in
my left thigh area, think I pulled a muscle badly in that area...
using heat, massager, advil, but still rough...can only step about
5 inches at a time, so will take a long time to do anything, which
is why I'm doing nothing today~!!!!!! :p:devilish:

Still raining here.. only had an hour's break from it in 3 days ...those poor people who are flooded out.. goodness knows what they'll do..4 people have died in the floods...including a teen

Sorry, ladies. Football is on today. I do enjoy watching that with a nice cup of tea. A chocolate digestive would be great too, but they're too high in calories and I only imagine I buy them today, without actually doing it.

Hi, kids. I'm home.

It's sunny and supposed to be in the mid-70s today. Goody. There's also a windy day predicted but so far not even a breeze. Goody again.

The continuing bakery saga: Oh. Em. Gee.

We have these little hand-held devices called Zebras that contain all kinds of work-related info. At the end of every day, Sir lists the tasks scheduled for the next day and who's to accomplish them. He also clears out everything that was done for the current day.

Well. Yesterday he left a note for TL telling her to bake cookies, finish decorating cupcakes and to check and complete any other Hallowe'en decorating that needed to be done. This was all listed in the Zebra.

I got there this morning and didn't see cookies on the tables so thought she'd have baked them and left them in the cooler for me to package. Nope. No cookies anydamnwhere. No cupcakes had been decorated. Nothing else had been done regarding Hallowe'en decorating.

Went to the freezer to get out the yeast breads/rolls that needed to be laid out and proofed, and there was Sir's note to TL taped as big as life to one of the rolling racks that we call U-boats.

Um. By the time Sir came in about 7:30, everything that needed proofing was either in the proofer or already in the oven, 200 croissants had been baked and were on the rack cooling, and two racks of cookies had been baked, cooled, packaged, labeled and put on the tables.

Sir thought TL had baked the cookies and told store manager that she'd at least done that. Noooo! I disabused him of that notion posthaste and asked him to make sure that store manager knew it, too, because darned if she's gonna get a pass for work that I did! Store manager came down and went into the freezer to take a picture of the note taped to the U-boat, and I overheard the word "insubordination" mentioned by him to Sir.

I thought her vacay was Hallowe'en week, but it actually starts tomorrow. She's gone to Juárez for a week. Hope she has a marvelous time because when she comes back, she's in for a baaaad time at work:oops:

Yanno, with 20+ years under my belt at the same company, I don't think I'd jeopardize my job and my retirement checks💸💸 I dunno what she's thinking, but it's not likely the union can save her.
