Well, it is clever! Funny in a certain way. But tragic & scary in its implication.
And contains obvious social commentary ("deeply divided nation"), for our neighbors to the south (as we say in Canada).

I have a friend, Canadian, and he lives in BC. He entered some kind of contest 20 or so years ago. I forget everything about that contest. But, in any case, he won a surveyed lot in Pahrump! I've never heard if he figured out something to do with it.
