Young YouTubers Appreciating the Culture of Our Day

I know not everyone cares for watching "reaction videos" (mainly music or movies) but some of these kids really do seem to gain a bit of understanding and appreciation of life back in our prime.

Sample:

 

I appreciate your effort. But, I am not going to spend 9 minutes watching a video I know nothing about. You could shorten the time and make it more interesting by describing it in prose first and then add the video for those wanting more detail or example.
 
That was great. It would be hard to listen to most of Billy Joel's stuff and be non-plused , no matter what age you are or generation. He has a bit of a wonderful "bard" quality to his brilliance. I obviously love his music. :)

In the video, a young dude is listening to Billy Joel perform Piano Man.

There's a bunch of people on YouTube who listen to old music for the first time ever. My favorites are the young Hip-Hop fans hearing Ram Jam do Black Betty, for example, or finding out that the Bee Gees are actually a bunch of white guys when they watch the Stayin' Alive music video. "I KNOW THAT SONG!...whoa whoa whoa, wait...who's that Jesus-looking dude?"

You've also got your punk-rock fans falling on their pierced faces when they hear (and see) the Charlie Daniels Band sing Devil Went Down to Georgia, for example, and telling the viewers they wish they'd been born 40 years ago.

These are fun-to-watch videos and they make you feel pretty good that today's young people have so much appreciation for your favorite tunes from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Especially when the YouTuber understands music, appreciates that the lack of technologies such as auto-tune, gives a great analysis, and excitedly asks their viewers to PLEASE recommend other songs by Aretha Franklin or The Righteous Brothers or The Who, etc.

Thank you. Now, I would find the video interesting to watch. Too often here on SF I've watched a posted video and came away feeling I've just been duped into watching something that wasted my time. Things like that do happen. But, one can never tell which video will do that and which is relevant. Sort of like a box of chocolates.
