All the time....probably not as much as I should.Do you start answering a question here then decide, no, let this one go?

So you enjoy poking the bear when you're in a bad mood... that could be painful.It also depends on my mood, in that case, there's a good chance I'll tickle the ivories and see what happens. Don...
You are correct but I was making the comparison between a piano keyboard and a computer keyboard but I probably shouldn't have taken the creative license that far.I’ve thought ‘tickle the ivories’ is a musical term meaning ‘playing the piano;’ the keys being made of ivory.
Not often but every now and againSo you enjoy poking the bear when you're in a bad mood... that could be painful.Not that I know first hand, of course.
@Macfan
I noticed you weren’t here for a long while.Most of the time I can just scroll on by and ignore the question, BUT, I've made comments a couple times that I wish I'd kept my mouth shut. Once, it got me suspended so I took several months off from the forum (I don't think anyone noticed I wasn't here). There seems to be one person that I just have a hard time ignoring and get tired of the same cry for help for something but never takes any advice. They get on my nerve (yes...I just have one these days) and I need to block them, I guess.

I noticed if you mean earlier this year... maybe spring. I pay attention to my state-mates and try to read what ya'll have to say even if I don't always reply to posts. For instance, right now I miss @Chet ... I wrote to him but there's not been a reply. And @Sassycakes .Once, it got me suspended so I took several months off from the forum (I don't think anyone noticed I wasn't here).
I hope what I said didn’t sound like a criticism of you using the phrase ‘tickling the ivories.’You are correct but I was making the comparison between a piano keyboard and a computer keyboard but I probably shouldn't have taken the creative license that far.Don...
If it's me, I'm sorry. No worries, PeppermintPatty, to be honest, I thought when I posted that it might stir a response or two, and it didI hope what I said didn’t sound like a criticism of you using the phrase ‘tickling the ivories.’
I like when people use metaphors in their writing. My noticing it is just a nit picky observation .
most of those are ongoing battles that no one is ever gonna win.I often stop and delete before hitting reply, and some topics I'll avoid altogether. Call it self-censoship or just plain good sense. Choose your battles wisely, they say. Enough arguments in life already without going looking for more...
I like it!Dbm.....how about "doesn't bear mentioning"?
Sometimes I am tempted to give some idiot what-for, but then I think, "Naw....that's just what they're angling for, pot-stirring."
Yes. The best way to deal with stirrers is to not respond at all.Sometimes I am tempted to give some idiot what-for, but then I think, "Naw....that's just what they're angling for, pot-stirring."
Thank goodness for loose waistbands.Sometimes. But these days my filter is nearly as loose as my underwear waistbands.
Not youIf it's me, I'm sorry. But if I or they bother you, block away.
