Has anyone not had covid as far as you know?

I got the original 2 Pfizer doses, then the 1st and 2nd boosters. Never got it as far as I know.

Nobody has worn masks around here in age aside from the oddball here and there who I assume took a test and failed it. When I go to my doctors in a major medical facility within a hospital complex they no longer require masks for entry and seeing one even there is very rare.

Even before that my cardiologist took his mask off in the room and asked me to as well. He felt that proper communication is far more important than the very dubious benefit of wearing paper masks.

I've asked about additional boosters and my doctors shrug and go "Meh."
well people wear masks here, not because they've failed a test necessarily, but because maybe they have repository diseases, or they're immune system is compromised, or they're simply trying to ensure they don't get sick.

I have decided not to get any more inoculations.. I don't think I need more than the 3 I've already had.. and maybe I didn't need them.. however I did get very sick with covid despite all my precautions and I wouldn't want that. to happen again

However I did get the Pneumonia jab recently...

In case some don’t know, you can get free, at home COVID test kits in the US. I use one every time I feel a bit sick. Just go to covid.gov
Watch the expiration dates on those "free" government test kits. We ordered some when they were first offered and the ones we got expired within just a few weeks of when they were received. I wonder if it's any better now?

Our current kits came from our local pharmacy, cost about $10 each, and expire in 2025.

The government keeps changing their minds on the expiration dates, telling us that they’re good for several months after, but, yes good tip. I’ll pick some up at the pharmacy. Thank you.

I’m not even vaccinated for small pox.
You are the fortunate result of all the people before you who got the small pox vaccination, PP, and therefore managed to wipe out the disease almost entirely. I got my vaccination as a child, it was compulsory for everybody!

To all the anti-vaxxers (and I am not saying you are one of them) who have been bragging how they are so healthy without ever having had a vaccination I can only repeat what I wrote earlier: You are the fortunate ones, thanks to all those who fought chicken pox, tuberculosis, scarlet fever, diphtheria, polio, yellow fever etc. before your time! Through vaccination! Don't be too proud, be thankful!

Neither my wife nor I have had it. We've been careful as if her life depended on it since her doctors tell her it does. Perpectual lockdown, anyone? Anyone?

If I would have been vaccinated with small pox, I would have died. It had penicillin as a preservative and I’m allergic. Health Canada called my school and my parents, thereby saving my life.

I have not been bragging about how I’m healthier without the vaccine snd refuse to feel guilty because YOU don’t understand my situation.

Where have you seen me bragging about not having been been vaccinated? Where the **** do you see pride?

What you see is honesty. Before you decide to get on your high friggin’ horse you might want to do your research FIRST! Not everyone in the world is able to safely be vaccinated and I am one of them.

Being vaccinated is STILL a CHOICE for us all and I chose NOT to. If you are THAT intolerant of others making their own choices, perhaps you should ZIP it!!

You quite obviously didn't see this: "To all the anti-vaxxers (and I am not saying you are one of them)" I wrote that specifically because I didn't know your background, PP, and I am deeply sorry that I upset you! I wrote my diatribe with others in mind who were proud of never having been vaccinated, yet being healthy all of their lives! They were healthy standing on the shoulders of their forefathers! That's the whole point I was trying to make and no personal attack intended.

I give up! I guess anything other than the latest weather or recipe will cause angry protests from people I consider to be forum "friends!" Goodbye y'all!

If you wish to bail now , that’s up to you.

You start off with a big guilt trip about how everyone else got vaccinated to save my life.
No. In this case, me not being vaccinated saved my life. If I had had one, I’d have been dead in about 5 minutes. Health Canada suggested not having it.

Smallpox was compulsory for every one with exceptions to people who it would kill; me being one of them.

If you didn’t want that uppity lecture directed at me, you shouldn’t have directed at me.

No you didn’t know my background. I don’t share everything about my background cause I don’t feel it’s anyone’s business.

An apology would have been nice but if you want to run off with your tail between your legs, that’s fine with me.

Is "I am deeply sorry that I upset you" not an apology? It was heartfelt too. As for running off with my tail between my legs, you probably know enough about me by now to see why controversy would be hard on me! I'm living with an incurable illness and every day is a gift from God and I simply can't see where getting upset over misunderstandings will help matters any. And your reply was in connection with exactly that ... a misunderstanding.

However, I am still firmly convinced that the smugness of some anti-vaxxers shows ignorance of history and the ones who went before them, the ones who helped eradicate many of the diseases that were common in my childhood. I saw, in person, the many who suffered, especially when it came to Polio and TB. If my remarks enrage some, I can understand it. If it enrages my friends ... that's when it hurts!

Neither I nor my husband has had covid but our two friends had it in the first year. Not vaccinated and they got really sick. She didn't have to go to hospital but he did and he said it was awful. Felt like his lungs were made of wood he said and they wouldn't expand when he breathed in nor could he compress them to breathe out. I think he was a day away from being put in the ICU.

I have not had covid. The reason was because my mom whom I took care of 24/7 and lived with was 100 years old, and vaccinated or not would certainly have died had she been infected. So, we both practiced the most severe social isolation from late 2019 to her death in March of this year. No one. And, I mean, no one came into our home.

Also when I went out to shop I went to only one store, shopped heavily, at opening time when there was no one there, and returned home for the rest of the month. We were very much hermits. But, we had one another. We understood why we were doing as we did. And, we both enjoyed the ride. The phone and emails got a real working out. But, we stayed covid free for all the time of the pandemic.
My husband and I pretty much lived like that too during covid. For us it was pretty easy because we don't have an active social life but to my friend (the social butterfly), it was terrible. She had a really hard time of it.

I’m new here, but one thing I quickly learned is this is mostly a very kind and supportive group and that’s why I like it. I’ve “ignored” a couple of people as I just don’t want to deal with it here. (I’ll leave that for other forums.) PP is one of those I’ve ignored. Please don’t go. I enjoy your comments.

Both my sons (living at home) have not tested positive while my husband and I both had it and test positive. For him it was just like a cold and a bit of chills. For me it was very different. I do not want it ever again! All family have had regular covid shots as both sons work in grocery stores and hubby and I are retired.
I can understand why you don't want it again, me neither. I certainly knew I had it, started like a cold then a nasty headache for 3 solid days along with aches, pains and sore throat.

I've never had a clot shot (vaccination) my entire life, and not as a child either when I had a choice.
I was very sick as a child to age 5, due to my Mom taking me to doctors, and got well on my own when she stopped.

As a result of this I am healthy, have never been sick with a virus, and don't have any incurable diseases like people
who go to doctors and feed on their toxic medications. They also get mental issues like dementia from the treatments.

This is very simple to see, cause and effect. Logic 101. Put toxic drugs in your body and they're going to cause problems.
Then after that you'll get a disease, because you're already sick, because your body is already weak and destroyed from the drugs.

I wish I said no to covid shots @John cycling I’ve had 4 hubs has had 5 I refused the 5th due me having developed a racing heart , my normal rate is about 65 ….my rate gos up to 110- 140 while sitting relaxing or sleeping ( I have a Apple Watch that wakes me up with alerts if my Heart rate is above set limit )
Neither of us has had covid ..
I’ve seen a cardiologist and he can’t explain why it’s happening .

On another subject if i can ……we had a NEW Shingles jab a few days ago ( one of two required ) the Dr took the POSION out of two seperate vials …then with a different needle got hubs jab out of the same two vials
we were both sick and I had pain so bad in my legs the Panadol osteo didn't touch the pain …..could not stop falling asleep just hours after the jab .…….very unusual for hubs, we ended up sleeping

I Googled it and found the new expiration date on my specific kit. I tested negative and tested a few days later at Walgreens ($20.), also negative. Not sure what I had but I had something. So far no Covid to my knowledge.

According to a peer-reviewed research paper, twenty percent of the population has a gene mutation on chromosome 6 that knocks the virus down before it shows symptoms. Every blood sample in the study showed initial infection, but these lucky people would never know they had it. Nobody is “immune”, but some are better virus fighters through genetics. Important caveat, not only does one need the mutation, they also needed to have been exposed to one of the other four coronaviruses at some earlier time.

A common allele of HLA is associated with asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection

I had the first vaccine (Moderna) but none of the other ones. I have yet to catch the virus, but last weekend woke up feeling poorly and went to the doctor on Monday. Tested positive for Influenza A and Strep Throat. But no Covid-19 or RSV !;)

I don't think I've had COVID. (Knock on wood. "She knocks are her thick skull.") I haven't been sick in years and I'm sure if I had COVID I would know it. I've had the vaccine and a few boosters and every time I feel a sniffle or tickle in my throat, I take a test, but they've all been negative.
I've had all the vaccinations and boosters, and still got it. I didn't get real sick but I tested myself twice and got positives both times. I took myself to the ER and showed them my test results. None of those high octane meds were given to me, because the conflicted with three of the medications I take on a daily basis. So I went home, took Tylenol, drank good tea with honey and rested. Most of all I stayed away from my wife because she has a compromised immune system. She didn't get it and I was better in a couple days with clear tests. I still avoided her another day or two.
