I don't know whether it would be called Psyichic or not, but during my life, I've always seemed to have been told about things in my dreams.. either before they happen or after..bringing them to my attention.

It's how I knew about my fathers' death, and my husband's forthcoming horrendous actions. For about a year I was getting regular nightmares about what he was doing.. or about to do.. and they were so bad they'd wake me up.

I would tell him, and it got to the stage where everytime I had a nightmare, he would say '' not me again''... well it usually was.. and it all came to pass, in the most horrendous way.

There's been more instances... but..

last night I dreamt of a guy I used to know. never had a a relationship with him..*ugh* god forbid.. he was a horrible bullying person.. my age.. who lived in our local town..... but I haven't seen him for years..never thought of him in years either..

Last night I had the weirdest dream.. had him in it.... Not doing anything to me per se.. but generally in the dream

When I got up. I was kinda shaken that I would dream about this guy.. why would I ?.. haven't seen him, don't know anyone who knows him, and would have spoken of him etc...so knowing my history, I've just now googled him... and there it is.. in the Obituary's.. !! Dead at 68... doesn't say what he died from.. , and he was not known for having any illnesses, but good grief.. what is it that creates these things in my dreams (rhetorical question obviously)

I have had psychic dreams. If my grandma was in it, it portended some unforeseen catastrophe about to happen.

I saw my grandma on a ship. She had that 'other' grandma look, the one who showed up to warn me. She showed me heavy, dark storm clouds approaching. It was windy, and a man's old fashioned type fedora was blown in the wind, skittering on the sidewalk. A fedora. For goodness sake, who was still wearing them?

Well, at my store one fateful day, yep. The storm clouds coming from the west. The wind. The fedora skittering about on the sidewalk pushed by sudden winds. Shortly after, about a week, I found my husband dead at 5:18 am.

Nothing warned me about my mother. I am shocked the earth didn't stop spinning for that one.

It is my take on reality that what we experience as mind, is not just our mind, because mind can not be said to be local. We don't know where "it" resides. So yes, you have the ability ( as most all of us do ) to connect with other mind/s at any distance. I do it all the time with my daughter, Misa, and a few close friends. I have had experiences that came out of the blue where I thought of someone I had not thought of for a long time and then they call or show up somehow. I love to see the world as "one mind". :)

When I was little, I would regularly dream that my mother would die, and I would wake crying. My mother would always say '' don't worry, only the good die young, so I will live until I'm very old''... ( I know, I know but that's what she said)... but my dreams came true, and she died at 39...

I have something similar going on. I noticed this several years ago. I dream about someone I know, could be from years and years ago. Always someone I would have not thought about in a very long time, like years. About one year later, they die. It's always about one year. I think it's happened 3 or 4 times, perhaps more. Enough for me to pick up on it as something strange.

  1. i was in an elevator once with one other person. never saw him in my life. out of the blue i said, are u "so & so on twitter". he said "why yes, how did u know?" i have no idea.
  2. I was just seated in a crowded noisy restaurant, facing a wall. i said to my friends "someone is choking". my nurse friend looked around and said, i don't see anyone. the waitress came over after a bit of a wait and said "sorry i was delayed, someone was choking".
  3. i was in a mall; saw a frustrated mother with a bunch of kids trailing her. she said out loud "let's just find it and go". i said to her "it's not here, u are in the wrong place". She said "what". I said "the rug place, it's down the street on the right". "She said how did u know". I said "i don't know"

When I was very small , 4 years old , we lived in another city to my granny and I had never visited that city. It was decided I would go and live with my granny, and so we took the train from the city we lived in, and then the tube , and my granny's house was several streets away from the subway station.. but I lead my parents there. They were astounded because I'd never been there..

My nephew, who was a lost soul in a patriotic fever, joined the US Army in 2004. He finished basic training w the 2nd ID and was slated for a nice easy tour to the border in S Korea. Because the war in Iraq was going so badly he instead went directly to Iraq. As soon as I heard of his new orders, I knew that he was going to die and I told multiple people. Sure enough after 6 weeks in Iraq his squad was in a Bradley on patrol in the middle of the night in a sandstorm and went off the road and rolled multiple times. At that time soldiers wearing their battle rattle could not utilize the seat belts inside the Bradley.

He was massively injured and unable to be evacuated by helicopter because of the sandstorm so he died as a result. That same night he died I was in a terrible mood and was unable to sleep and in the morning I got the news he was dead. Sadly his elderly father, my b-i-l, died of a broken heart 3 weeks after my nephew's funeral.

I'd say you have psychic abilities.

No, I don't. But I don't believe in the supernatural. I do think we can pick up signs of things, even peripheral and tangential. By osmosis we pick up various things in our daily lives without even registering it. Then when we sleep, and our brains and sorting through memories, we come to draw linkages and sometimes, conclusions.

I always seek out reasonable answers for my experiences, @VaughanJB

I'm someone who experiences vivid dreams most every night. And yes, I've learned a lot from them. It's not always good things, some dreams are quite depressing, while others are exciting. However, most all of them are applicable in some way to my daily life. I just think some people are more attuned to human behaviors and actions, and that feeds into our dreams.

Typically I would say I'm intuitive but not psychic, yet I have a very true story.

Back when I was married I woke up one night feeling odd. Being the practical guy I am I sat on the edge of the bed just kind of listening or waiting. My wife wakes up and asked me what I was doing, I said "waiting for the phone to ring".

Sure enough a short time later phone rings, it's my mother in law calling to tell my wife that her father was being taken to the hospital by ambulance. Turns out he had a heart attack but fortunately survived.

I always look for logical explanations but that's one I can't explain. I'm not sure I would even believe the story if it didn't happen to me.

I wouldn't call myself psychic. I get a thought with shaking and I know by that something is going to happen.

For instance I had it with mum and an elderly lady friend who I called my 2nd mum. Both separate occasions, both in hospital, and years apart.
I had appts (funnily enough both were afternoon appts) with the doctors to discuss their health and/or discharge.
I got 'the thought' and 'the shakes' in the morning for both and knew I need to go 'now' even though I was 3/4hrs too early.
Within half an hour of getting to them, mum died in my arms, and my friend died holding my hand.

With dad, he'd 'died' a few times on separate occasions and brought back.
After his last hiccup, he was discharged home and seemed fine for a couple of months.
I kept noticing a particular picture on the wall was skew whiff. I kept righting it. Skew whiffed again. This went on for a few days.
Then I got the 'thought shakes', phoned dad. No answer. I got a call from the neighbour she had to call the police re the smell from dad's house when she tried to call him through the letterbox as she'd not seen him. He'd been dead a week in the middle of eating cornflakes. CH was on, closed windows, sunshine coming through the windows. The heat.... the smell...

Got the thought but not the shakes with my daughter. (She was away at Uni). She phoned that she'd been attacked and her bag had been stolen. (Thankfully she was ok.)

When I was a kid, I had the thoughts shakes about my rabbit and dog before they died.
A class mate who I saw at his front door when I cycled past - his leg was encased in a long STRAIGHT plaster cast and I immediately thought 'It should be a BENT plaster cast'. (What?).
A few days later I was run over on my bike and was encased in a BENT plaster cast for nearly a year.

Thought shakes with my last beloved dog as I was driving home from work at lunchtime to walk her. When I got in the house, there was blood everywhere and an awful smell of copper. Housed at the vets for a week on drips and then got her back and within a week, just had the shakes. Then she had to be put to sleep.

I get thoughts about something's going to happen, could be anything, and it happens.

I don't know what to call it. Some like myself, know when a storm's coming so I've always put these things down to we all have this 'inner bit' - you know, like we think of someone and they phone or we bump into them when we've not seen each other for a considerable time.

I've never dreamt anything, just these 'thought shakes'

Its after sundown an I had a premonition the deer were on the road. Well, slowed from 60 to 45 mph on a 60 mph speed limit. Within a mile 2 young Doe ran in single file across the highway right at the edge of my dim headlights with Fog lights turned on. Having seen deer on that highway many times may have triggered the timing. If I hadn't been slowing down, I would have been very close to them also. In late Oct. I saw a buck running toward the road, I slowed down, it ran along side of me, I continued to slow down and it ran across in front of me, crossed to the east and tossed me off with a wag. ....:ROFLMAO: Maybe 2 sets of deer sounding horns help.

In August the sky darkens, I look at it and say to my wife, that looks like high winds up there, Yep I no more than slow down and straight line winds, over 80 mph hit us from the right. Basically a black out. We good.

Later I say that cloud looks like a gully washer, yep driving thru a foot of water on the highway in a couple of miles.

Omnis Etty is my thought. Endurance? Experience ? Lived it? Life is Chaos so you live it or not. If it hasn't
happened to you, odds are it still will.

I had a friend at work tell me he wasn't feeling so good for a couple of days. I said, "maybe your gonna have a heart attack. He called the Doc went to the hospital and got a Bypass. Chest looked a mess. Common Sense ? He also had great health insurance, best heart surgeon. pure luck.

See, I would explain your situations.. with maybe knowing that particular road was known to have Deer on it... and the second.. having seen big black clouds you're going to be expecting a storm......

Lucky maybe ? Was out in the Timber one Sunday afternoon with tractor and wagon, started to rain, left tractor run, went under wagon cloud burst stopped, headed on home, Hayfield turned into a river 100 yards wide. It had been hot. took off Shoes and walked in the cool running water from that watershed down thru the hayfield. Fun: Last time I went out chopping Alfalfa for the Cows on a stormy day too.

Once, in my late teens someone I knew worked with a guy who was a licensed hypnotist in another state but unable to set up practice where we lived. He would sometimes invite friends to his home and maybe help someone stop smoking or whatever, free of charge, to keep from getting rusty. I went along to observe one evening but after answering a few questions the guy said I would make a good subject. After the usual caveats of not asking me to do anything I wouldn't do if awake and to bring me back if anything seemed upsetting, I agreed.

Three things I remember. He asked me to describe the kitchen beyond the closed door. I said there was a woman in there who poured a glass of orange juice. This checked out later.

He said to go to my house and see what was going on. I saw my mother preparing chicken at the kitchen table. She served chicken the following day but that was not unusual.

He asked if I had any idea where the fugitive in the news was. I saw a man on the roof of what looked like a warehouse. They caught the guy a day or two later in an industrial area.

Was this all from information I had gleaned by ordinary methods? Maybe. Maybe not. It all felt quite natural and not scary.

so in 2 out of the 3 , you actually saw things BEFORE they happened ? so a prediction in fact ?
