Trish..it was the exact opposite where I was this evening... even the supermarket was packed..which is about a 4 minute drive from the Mall... must admit I was really surprised.

When I came out of the Mall to get my car.. there was queues of people waiting for spaces to park.. just incredible... I realise it's Saturday night, but this was just after it got dark, around 4.45.... then the supermarket between 5pm and 6pm...
I guess the big centres attract more people. Did you like the experience or find it a bit overwhelming?

No..I'm a crowd type of person... but this particular Mall.. is always quiet when I go..I never can understand how they make it pay... of course I go during the day almost always, haven't been there in the evening since the o/h was here almost 3 years ago now.. so having been used to this very quiet Mall for several years now.. it took me totally by surprise to see such a crowd...

Oh I hope the gloom isn't heading this way! We have had the windows open and no heating on for the last couple of days.
well I've had the windows open too, for the last few days, and it's been quite mild about 52 deg. I even went out to the mall with no jacket on..... it's just been really cloudy today.

Currently in my little office room it's 15 deg C

Good morning, Invisipeeps.

The cold front came through during the night and left temps in the 40s. According to the weathernerds, it'll stay in the 40s today. At least it'll be sunny so that's something...

DGD spent eight hours in ER yesterday afternoon/evening with a bad kidney infection. Kid can't catch a break. DD didn't get home until 2am.

Sir is off today so NL and I will hold down the fort with me scheduled for four hours. Um. Somehow, I don't see me waltzing out the door at 10am.

@hollydolly Hopefully the landlord straightened out the problem.
No he didn't ..unfortunately... the tenants gave him all sorts of excuses and he believed them..

The thing is, I'm not a complainer. Over the years he's had that house with all sorts of people as tenants. he had students in there who were a nightmare and the neighbour on the other side was constantly calling him, to complain..I never did. Then he had 6 Eastern European young couples in there with 3 dogs.. again.. no complaints from me .but complaints from my neighbour...

However this family.. who are again eastern European... think they own the house, and are having parties until 3am.. despite having children... and making noise right into the early hours of the morning, generally.. and so I thought, this is crazy I shouldn't have to put up with this, so I made a complaint..

They told him that it was not true.. that I must be complaining about the noise that little children make.. etc etc..., so I told the Landlord.. who is desperate for authorities not to know he owns that house... that I will record the neighbours and report it to the Council

In spite of the forecast being unusually warm, it's freezing and very windy! It's what my F-i-L used to call a 'lazy wind' - it didn't go round you, it went straight through!
yesterday I kept hearing on the forecast that there was a cold wind... not here... must have been the only place without it.

Today no wind again, and sunny, 45 deg now just after 11am

Not sure if son/grandson coming over. The day was to be that they would come, and DIL would join us later and we would all watch football game at 3, but DIL volunteering at a race going on in Central Park. However, train to get to me only partially running today for repairs so it would be great hassle for her. New plan became son/grandson only for morning and early afternoon so they can rush home for game. It is also expected to rain hard this morning, so I don't know if they are coming.

My computer still effed up and I was hoping son could fix it. If not, I must adjust. Must adjust. Sounds like a mantra. Must adjust, must adjust, repeat 108 times. Must adjust. Must adjust. Must adjust. and so on and so on and scooby dooby dooby

Another bright day and although not sunbathing weather, we didn't need the heating on and all the windows are open so, great weather for January!

I am just trying to decide what to do with the rest of the day. I could get my sewing machine out but, on the other hand, it's a nice day for walking but, then again, I could sort my wardrobe out but, maybe I should go and get some plants for the big pot outside the door, or I could just sit here until dinnertime thinking about all the things I could do! :)

Yes it's been a lovely sunny day.. as always my windows and even my back door have been open all day.

It's just 20 minutes before it gets dark now, so I'll have to go round closing them all. Temps are 52 degrees currently.. the children are all out playing ..

I've just spent 40 minutes clearing out one drawer which holds my T-shirts and cami's... My god, I new I had a lot but I didn't realise how much. ..but of course they were to wear for work as well, and I've been retired 6 years now

I've got 43 out now for the Charity shop donation...all different sizes.. all like new... I've owned all them for at least 10 years, yet barely worn any more than twice... I'm very good on clothes, I don't wear them until they're out of shape, or faded etc...

My back is killing me standing there doing that.:(

I never get colds when I say never I mean probably 3 times in 68 years that I can remember....... today I've got a whopper. I've no idea where I picked this up from. It's the whole 9 yards ... sneezing, streaming nose..etc...

Saturday we were out & about.
Stopped at couple of 'Antique 'stores.

I found a pair of like new jeans for $5!
Don't think I need to shorten them,, my shoes should be enough to keep them from dragging.

I've been have some diverticulitis pains this week.
Last night it all 'hit'.
Up most of the night on the potty.

I don't think much can be done at my age to correct it.
Am wondering if an antibiotic would work.

Rain/snow presently falling here.
