I'm Vitamin D deficient already, so I definitely need to take that. My nutritionist mentioned that I need to try to get more Omega 3 fatty acids, but I don't want to take the supplement. I'd rather try to get it from food sources. My podiatrist told me about Centrum 50 multivitamin for women, but the daggone tablet is too big for me to swallow and does not taste too good when crushed and put into applesauce (unlike the crushed potassium which I can't taste). I've taken zinc almost every night for over a decade and I really feel it has helped stave off colds, for the most part.
5 vitamins you absolutely need in the winter for good health
Are you taking any of these? If not, did reading the article convince you to start?

I take a daily multivitamin which has all of these elements, plus a Lutein pill and Omega capsule. IMO, taking a daily vitamin is some pretty cheap "insurance" to help maintain good health....especially as we age.
I agree Don. Just you saying that reminds me that I'm going to have t find a way to get that Centrum into my system. I've also been taking Lutein for decades (I get the vege capsules). I'd like to think my eyes are benefitting since even with what ails them, I still see pretty well.

I take the Centrum for Women 50+ Minis. Now, the mini ones aren't teeny tiny or anything, but they are pretty much more manageable than the big'uns. @OneEyedDiva

That’s what I take too. They finally started carrying them in Canada. I wrote to them twice. Before that I stocked up while in the US. The other option is the Vitamin Gummies from Costco. They’re really good but also too sweet.

OED, yes, I take all those vitamins. I need to find a smaller zinc, preferably a capsule.

I take these more or less daily year-round and am almost never ill (I mean at least a decade between flus).

I also eat very "clean" food (organic or natural; that is, food not grown with pesticides and herbicides or meats raised so uncleanly that the animals have to be injected with antibiotics to kill disease).

A/D - A and D need to be taken together
B complex
C
E
Biotin - a B vitamin that's good for hair
Mega minerals
