What have you bought recently?

Being that I'm currently in trash or donate what's not loved or useful mode, my brain squashes impulses to buy items beyond food and other necessities. When something catches my eye, my next thought is whether I'll be decluttering it in a year or two.

It does take the fun out of shopping - even window shopping.
Exactly. I just cleaned out a lot of clothes so I'm very particular about what I'm buying. It's nice to be able to see what I do have.

hahaha..Gigi.... God loves a trier.. :D...

Bought new Electric Can Opener... and a new toilet brush and holder... lets; hope I don't get them mixed up..

I have kept an electric can opener in the back of my cupboard. I don't use it but I know I will need it soon.
I would but no room on the counter.

A set of wonderful soft non wrinkle sheets for the guest room...now I'm going to buy a set for our bed if I can decide on the color. These are the sheets of my dreams - like ones that had been washed a hundred times - so soft and forget the wrinkles - they aren't there. Makes me think of my mother - she loved these kind of sheets only in the old days you had to actually own a set you'd washed dozens and dozens of times.

yes that's a problem in my kitchen too with not a lot of counter space. My friend said she bought one and never uses it because it's in a cupboard, but I had to find a space for mine, because my fingers are getting so painful now it's harder and harder to use a conventional Can opener..

In the old days, we ironed the sheets and pillowcases. What were we thinking?

What's their weave and content? Cotton percale? Microfiber blend?

I don't iron sheets because my sheets are fitted.. and I don't use a Top sheet because I have a cover on the comforters, and duvets which get washed every week. I don't Iron pillowcases because mine are silk, and they come out of the dryer perfectly unwrinkled ...

I’m in the same mindset. I’ve even avoided some stores … just in case I see something I might want.

It will definitely help. I keep mine right in front in the cupboard and just get it out on the rare occasion it’s needed. My kitchen is a small galley style.

Only spent about a dollar, the difference between the weed killer I got yesterday and exchanged for the fertilizer, which is what was needed instead. Lawn has been fertilized. C'mon rain.

Today I bought a pair of Duck Feather & Down Pillows... a single Ottoman faux leather storage box ... and 2 , 2 litre Plastic jugs...

...then in M&S I bought a bulk load of cheese scones and Iced currant buns to freeze... 2 boxes of Dark chocolates for my friends who both have a birthday and an anniversary coming up..... and some Big Fat Dark chocolate Eclairs for me...

We don't make our own. They come to us from the vendor. Pffft. I want the real deal but not going to go to the trouble of making them myself. I'd settle for some from any bakery that makes their own.
they're not the easiest to make at home tbh.... but all of our supermarkets sell them... and the best ones come from the Patisserie

Another thread reminded me that DH & I can only find one umbrella so I cruised Amazon and found a couple of highly rated collapsible types for $22.91 each. DH double checked the RV underbelly storage for one last look and guess what? He found two collapsible umbrellas there. :)

That $50 (w/tax) remains in my pocket for now.

p.s. I'm not surprised about him finding the umbrellas. Although we rarely need them, they're useful items I'm not apt to donate or throw away if ruined, without getting replacements.

This is what I bought - washed them and as I started to put them on the guest bed, fell in love...lol. I have had a couple of favorite sets of old sheets from the 80's that felt like these - since then I've not been able to find them no matter what I paid until now that is.
