Maybe I'm becoming senile but as a kid, I seem to recall that "trolls" were bad creatures that lived under bridges. A fairy tale, maybe? Anyone recall?I've been under the impression that people who say things purposely to start arguments or upset others are trolls... things that the poster knows will cause controversy... "trolling around" for contention. People I don't like I have other names for.

I do acknowledge that if I were going to pin a stereotype on women, it would be jealousy of not only other women, but of men too.
These are the same people who are mean everywhere. They're just more subtle about it in real life because they'd get smacked down if they tried to pull that on someone in person..... But either way, they're mean people.

I'd say name calling for sure. Also the 'you are wrong, I am right' Once on that vegan forum I got a response: "nothing you say matters" while this b. word was berating me all over about how her opinion was right. I don't know if that's a troll but it's what I call 'the internet know it all.' The moderator shut the thread down and I swear I didn't see this user name again unless she came back under another one.
what's worse is when you're attacked verbally for an opinion.. when you're in the right, and your attacker is in the wrong or is just being abusive. and the thread or post is removed.. and you get a virtual slapped wrist from the moderating team... despite the fact you were the victim.. I've seen that happen many times..
I think we can safely conclude that we’ve all been attacked at some point by some member or other on this site. Some people don’t forgive or forget. Where there’s people , there’s drama. It’s almost impossible to escape from it.
Are you really saying that it's all okay and one should just "forgive and forget"? In essence, saying that one must excuse toxic behavior because "it happens" and that not doing so is some kind of personal fault? Wow.

If matrix were to ban all members whoever said anything to upset another member, there’d be next to zero members and all those members left would be scared to say anything for fear of getting banned.
