Me and Fraiser's dad wear white sox. I love 'em. What's wrong with that?

DH has black diabetic socks for winter. He doesn’t have diabetes; he just says these are the most comfortable.

In the summer, it’s those little cotton socks in his runners. They’re grey socks.

He still wears socks with his sandals. He’s afraid his feet would terrify strangers.

He used to wear white in summer. Black or grey are the easiest to keep clean.

My guy wears black socks only-but they are not dress socks-they are black athletic socks. Just like the white socks but black.Switched to those when they became available as it cuts down to almost zero the amount of washloads I need to add bleach to. Being on septic systems for the past 30+ years, the less bleach the better...

I bought some compression knee highs in Walmart. The woman in that dept. said they were not true compression socks. That was OK because I was really looking for knee high socks for winter that would stay up.
Turns out they are great socks especially for travel when you are sitting a long time. I use them for that purpose or if I am going to be outside in cold weather.
Otherwise I love Saucony low socks with my Skechers. Super comfy!

I buy 12 identical pairs of white socks (no shows now that we are in Florida, crew length before), 12 identical pairs of black socks (crew length) and that's all. I wear white socks 95% of the time, black socks for "dress up" or other long pants occasions. Once they begin to wear out, I toss them all and refresh.

My guy wears angle white socks in the summer ( with runners or sandals) 😬 and grey socks with hiking boots in the winter.

I wear socks in summer and winter
There’s too much sand around to wear sandals

Suits not needed. Per my retiree dress code white sneakers, white cotton socks, jeans & t-shirt in the summer sweat shirt in the winter.
No funeral services going to happen so viewing in a suit not needed.

Comfort not caring what is fashionable works for me.

Don't remember what year I last wore a suit. I think that I have one or two black socks somewhere, but not sure where.

I like cotton socks, but the stores have mostly polyester. White crew socks go well with shorts in the warm months.

I found the Wells Lamont men's grey crew socks in small fits my foot & are very comfortable all year around. I also get these in ankle/quarter high socks in both gray & in white for summer.

I wear white sox. It's not like I'm trapsing down the Red Carpet all the time. White socks are warmer, and the materials help with sweaty feet better than black socks material. I love white sox. What's wrong with that?
What do you and the guys in your life wear?
Nothing is wrong with that. I wear all white or all black cotton crew socks. The color really doesn't mean much. Black eventually fades to gray and white eventually fades to a beige. But, wearing white socks with a dark suit does look a little hacknee to me. And, wearing black socks while out on the tennis court with tennis shoes looks a bit out of place as well.

I don’t own any white socks. I have about 15 pair of black socks and maybe 5 or 6 pair of different colored socks to go with my dress pants. My son also does not wear white socks. Some of my black socks are crew length and some go halfway up the knee.

I also wear the short black socks in the summer with my athletic shoes and sometimes I wear them with my slides. I don’t like the footsies. I like the socks that go just over the ankle.

I don't know why they don't make black sox out of the same material as white sox. White sox are warm, soft, wick away sweat. Black sox use thinner material, and are made to be "dressier" than white sox. They don't have the same qualities as white sox.
And I know somebody is going to say that they have black sox, which are just as good a white sox. No, they aren't.

They do make black sox the same as white sox now-that`s all my hubby wears. Crew sox usually, ankle high for summer and knee high boot sox for when he wears boots or it`s super old out.All are identical to white sox except for the color.
