Happy day today. I paid a couple bills to clear the decks for the annual 10 day online event I've been attending for the last 4 years. I've been looking forward to this since the beginning of January. I had actually forgotten it started today over the weekend.

The first day of the event was great so far. 2 presentations about an hour each. Had a fun time.

Shopping day today. Same a ever, I start out with a blank page in my notebook and write down the things to buy. Not too much, I think.
Over the day, the list grows and grows, maybe on to a second page and invariably, I will buy things not even on the list.

Just thought of something else - silicone mastic from Screwfix. No problem, it's right beside Lidl.

I do the same regarding the lists.. and it also usually involves dropping off donations.. ..I usually end up visiting 4 or 5 shops

We were supposed to have a rainy day, but it looks like we'll duck most of that yet still face severe weather this evening. Sounds like a record warm day though, just shy of 70 F, before plummeting back toward freezing.

I'd like to be out and enjoying it, but it looks pretty gloomy all day anyway. I have to crunch some numbers and look into decisions today about some substantial spending. That'll be a "feature" of this week in general. Ain't home ownership grand?

Handyman is painting today and I will have him look into the attic to see if I have any water damage. If I didn't have to write a large check to him today, I would feel pretty good, knowing some of these jobs are now behind me. Procrastination is not my friend. Onward and upward.

I'd be glad to pay your handyman. DH trusts no one although he's come by around to the fact that he cannot physically do some things now.
Plus, he's always been a procrastinator. His work is excellent, jack of all trades, if you can get him motivated to start. He definitely has no sense of urgency and we ain't getting any younger, if you know what I mean.

Well, today is definitly a AP&P day for me...that is aches pain and pollen....I'm sitting here with two heat pads on,

Being doing lots of fiddly little jobs to tidy up the house. Yesterday I was going through receipts, saving a few and grinding up the rest. I take every store receipt; I sure do buy a lot of little things. In the meantime I waited for the taxman to pick up the phone to answer my question. Then I repackaged food from Costco so it was in reasonable sizes.

Today was disposing of things in our medicine kit. There were old tension bands, etc, etc. A million varieties of Bandaids, that are now sorted into various sizes and shapes and put into separate bags and boxes disposed of. This afternoon I need to go for bread and milk.

Got first dog in to the vet for yearly check, vaccines, heartworm meds, blood test. The only problem was her anal glands were full and would not express. She showed no signs of pain or discomfort. He put her on antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds for a week, then he will try again. Bank down $312. dollars.

Plan tonight is give my terrier a bath and a trim so he will be ready for his check up next week. I now I will never get another pet requires so much hard work to maintain their coats. Between the chow and the terrier it is exhausting. Yes they do go to a groomer a couple of times a year but it is expensive so I try to do what I can at home.

If I had lots of money I would have one of those mobile groomers come every six weeks. If I win the lotto that is on my list!!
